Summary: Good but not great
Review: To be honest, I was very hyped up for WC3. I even looked at its websites everyday to check on how the game is coming. The result, however, is nothing compared to what I expected. True, the graphics are great for RTS titles these days. The gameplay is great as well with heroes that grows like in an RPG, and enough units with upgardes and special abilities to keep the games interesting. There are new special abilities as you get the chance to use new units, races, and heroes. I gave this game three stars, however, because it is not revolutionary enough to deserve five stars. The hero system is nice, but after a while, the same formula of build, attack, and then rebuild applies. Then, the game is also unbalanced as some heroes get much better abilities then others of race, or some cool ability that does really nothing once the special effects wears off. This applies even more with normal units. Finally, the storyline [is bad]. Every plot twist is predictable, and every character fits the basic archetypes of an old sword and fantasy story. I defintely expected better of Blizzard after playing Starcraft. Yes, it is a good game, but for the time in development, and final result, perhaps it is too much of a price.

Summary: Another great title by blizzard
Review: Blizzard keeps on pumping out the great games. I just bought this game and played it over battle.net and discovered that this is another great game. Some people have said that this game doesnt have very good graphics on the units in the game, but I found just the opposite. This is a great game, but I find myself sometimes going back to Starcraft. You can even have heros in the game that advance in level as they get more expierience. If your looking for another great online game this is for you.

Summary: Blizzard strike back
Review: Game designers, Blizzard etertainment, are the undisputed pioneers and kings of real-time strategy games. After having produced the ground-breaking, revolutionary, Starcraft they got all the feedback they needed to change the some-what mediocre WarCraft saga into a rival of their own StarCraft. WarCraft III has all the perfection of strategy seen in StarCraft Brood War in addition to new features and fantastic vibrant graphics! Don't miss out! I hated WarCraft but loved StarCraft and even I got blown away by this! GET IT!... ... .

Summary: Great Game
Review: How could you possibly give this game less than 5 stars? The graphics are amazing, the storyline is fabulous, and the new hero system works really well with the RTS system. The rotational viewing is a bit limited, but WHO CARES? Battle.net is really great, and customs are fun. You will never tire of this game.... get it today!

Summary: 4 Epic Campains, An Apocolyptic Story, What Else do you Want
Review: I got this game the day it came out because I pre-ordered it and never really got around to writing this reveiw until now. Why? Because I was to busy playing this marvelous, classic game. RTS games (like command and conquer, starcraft, age of empires) either had good graphics or a easy good well written story, butnever both. Until now. War Craft 3 combines good detailed graphics and a really good story, thats easy to understand. They also add a new aspect of RTS. You can have heros. You can build up to three different heros for each race. Through the campain you lead a hero for each race. You can level these hreos up by battling with them. You get to play four epic campains beginning with the Humans, Undead, Orcs, and finally the night elfs. The story starts with some future seeing dude warning the humans of the end, but they can change that. As you expect, they ignore him even though hes right. You lead a paladin hero, Arthas, the campain as he tries to save Lordaeron by fighting the Undead. He chases a dreadlord (a undead hero) a tries to kill him. At the end of the campain there is a suprise, a big one. In the Undead campain you try to resserect some guy and try to bring the leader of the burning legion (a army of demons whos behind the undead). In the orc campain you try to find hellgromscream and do other things, and in the night elf campain, well... I cant tell you or it would ruin the story. Bottomline is its a great game with good graphics and a good story. Its got good action in it and really fun. Its a must buy.

Summary: G R E A T!!
Review: An excelent example how a good game can be improved by using the ideas of the previous versions and similar games (starcraft).

While playing WC3 the first thing one can notice is the superior graphics and the live movies, the second is the huge variety of options a player has in order to achieve his goal. Heros with various abilities are gaining experience with time. They can also acquire items which empower them with new abilities and they can hire mercenaries.

Nevertheless this is only the start.

Superior artificial intelligence helps computer enemy to organize his army and to avoid traps.

Variety of tasks: You never get bored because the various tasks are really different. Some examples: destroy your enemies, survive for 30-45 mins, go to a special place (sometimes with time limit, sometimes like an adventure game where you have to find special items), a race of killing between you and your enemy etc.

The creators also demonstrate enormous creativity in designing 4 races with many differences between each other. Many heroes with various abilities. You use 11 of them and you can find very few similarities in their abilities. There are countless magic items and many neutral races.

All these are combined in such a beatiful way that avoid unnecessary complexity and micromanagement.

Furthermore:
New strategies are required by the player. Attacking with vast armies as in WC1, WC2, SC is not possible any more because of the rules of the game: Maximum 90 soldier units (Knight counts for 4, footmen for 2 etc.). With 71-90 you pay 60% of your gold mined. With 41-70 you pay 30% of your gold mined. Result: You have rather to organize your army not just to build vast armies.

The element of cooperation is also included. In 3 situations you have 1-2 computer allies. You cannot command their armies but you can realise their plans and help them (i.e. send your armies to attack when you see that your ally moves his troops).

Finally after many games one can realise the psychological impact. Movies and dialogs even during battle makes you to feel the situation. i.e. i)Kel'thuzad: "At last the mighty infernals are coming to our help" (4 infernals have just came from the sky) or ii)Arthas: "Hold my braves. This is the time of our victory" (you have to survive for 30 mins and remain only 2 but the massive attack of the enemy is due).

No doubt that the creators have though of everything and have fullfilled their task to create something we have never seen before.
