Summary: Great Game
Review: This is the best game ever! The game is about little people called Sims. You create your Sims by choosing their clothes, face, gender, personality, etc. Tou then move them in to one of the five neighborhoods and build their house. Next you buy all sorts of items to meet your sims needs. My favorite items are: guitar, concoction set, srevo(a robot who does all the chores), and the hot tub. You then control their lives by clicking on a object and telling them what to do. It couldn't be easier! If you are thinking about buying this game go ahead and buy it. You won't regret it!!!!!

Review: I bought the Sims Deluxe in January and then I got hooked and bought all the expansion packs. It is amazing!! I love this game it is fun but addictive.

Summary: Ok, but gets boring fast
Review: This game doesn't have a set goal for you to reach, so unless you find yourself with hours of time to kill, this probably isn't as great as people have said. It's pretty fun, but a big time waster. If you let your people get depressed and they don't have a job, forget about it. They'll be too depressed to get happy and too depressed to find a job, so they'll just starve to death. Also, you spend WAY too much time telling them to clean up after themselves. Even on "auto" mode, they don't do much on their own. Stick with SimCity!

Summary: The Best yet
Review: I have played many sims games but this is the best one yet. It has three expanshions/games on one disc. The Sims, Sim Creator and Sims livin large. There is a couple of great things about this game. 1.You don't need the orignal sims to install it on your computer. 2. It has the best selling exapnshin pack. 3. It has a creater you can create sim when your noy plaing, can use them in the game, plus you can make them as messed up as you want or as cool as you want. 4.If you get more expanshin packs you will only have to use the deluxe cd, (except sims unleashed). 5. It works with Windows XP. 6. It's fast to load to your computer. 7.)This has to do with #1, you can load on any expanshin pack and you won't need the sims because it has it on deluxe. 8. BECAUSE THIS GAME RULES.
Take it from me I would know. (:-) P.S. Livin large is an expanshin pack.

Summary: think twice before buying this new edition to the sims
Review: Let me state that I'm a gamer. I bought Deluxe and was so excited to play it. I got home and waited for it to load...forever. I got on it and waited for the "inverting career ladder" deal to load...forever. Then I created a family and started. After about ohhh... 8 minutes I was bored. I thought the sims was great and I thought this would blow my mind. but,it seems to me that the sims, no matter how many expansions you buy, is lacking something. I reserve to cheats usually. Hey, I just want my sims to have a good life instead of (when I dont use cheats) what I usually end up with. A sort of high school dropout attitude/job with a Willie Nelson era house. I just can never put my finger on whats wrong but Maxis should think about there next sim game more carefully instead of shooting them out.

Summary: not what I thought
Review: I wanted this game for Christmas and I got it. I wanted to have what everybody called "the best game ever". But sometimes I think I should've got something else.
I have Sim City 2000 and 3000 and I love them, so I thought I was going to love this one, too.
They say you play God, actually you play mom and dad. You have to tell your sims to take a bath, to go to bed, to clean after themselves, to get a job, to study, who to marry (like in the old times) etc, etc.
Their energy level goes down very fast and it goes up too fast also. .
I sure dislike the annoying sound of their tv. They repeat the same thing over and over.
I don't like making friends. You just make them talk and talk and talk. You have other options that are just as boring as talking.
I guess I need the other expansion packs, like Hot Date and Vacation, to make the game more exciting because I've tried everything. I've given them the perfect life, I've killed a bunch of them so I could have a graveyard and ghosts wondering around and spooking people, I've let them do what they want to see how much trash they can pile inside their houses, I even had a guy who married 6 times and had 6 kids, I also had a family of just kids. I've done lots of things, but the game is still boring.

Summary: Will the Deluxe Edition PLEASE STAND UP! PLEASE STAND UP!
Review: This game is the best - user friendly - don't even use the tutorial unless you are REALLY clueless. Installed in minutes and this game will stay on the computer forever (unless of course I get my own computer) - has plenty of expansion packs tok keep yourself busy.

THE BOTTOM LINE: BUY THIS FRIGGIN' GAME OR ELSE!
i love it - shouldn't you?

Summary: I love this game but a couple of things drive me nuts!
Review: This is a great game and it allows you to be very creative in your choices. I love it and have spent many hours creating my characters, building their homes, forming their relationships, etc.

Just a couple of things drive me nuts, though! I hate it when the characters get "stuck" in a particular spot because one of the other characters won't move! Also, the design options for furniture, paintings, etc. are kind of limited in my opinion. It would be great if they developed expansion packs just for those items...unless they do and I just don't know about it!

But would I recommend buying it? Yes!

Summary: To Sims or not to Sims
Review: My mother bought this program because her favorite game Sim Tower was destroyed when her computer crashed. She brought home the game and we started playing. I was addicted. The first time I played I played it all night. My mother woke up and said it was 4:50 am, I couldn't believe it. I didn't even feel tired. I have to actually ration myself so I don't lose track of time. This game is fun. My only grip is it take a long time to load.

My recommendation --- Get a timer. You are going to need it.

Summary: Highly Addictive
Review: I am not a huge fan of action or shoot-'em up games. I tend to sway more to the strategy and simulation genre. I waited quite a while to put my hands on this game, as I heard the addictive qualities that The Sims possesed. Well, I broke down and finally grabbed it from my Gold Box on Amazon. When it arrived, I promptly spent 17 of 24 hours plopped in front of my computer slaving away to this game! I really enjoy it, but after mastering the day to day doldroms, what more is there?
