Summary: The best game.....EVER...
Review: I just recently got into the Sims, though it has been out for a while and there are many fans. I got the Sims Deluxe edition for Christmas and have been playing it non stop- it is strangely addicting and obsessive.

The Sims deluxe edition includes the original sims game, living large expansion pack and the sims creator. These allow you to create your own families, neighborhoods and even your own sim character. You can even create up to 4 or 5 different neighborhoods..each with their own personalities.

The fun of the sims is that you get to create your family, move into a home or build a home and help them run or ruin their lives. Your sims obey your commands on when to eat, sleep, socialize, bathe etc.

There are different career paths that your sim can do...earning money, advancing or even getting fired if you miss too much work. Advancing in your job depends on the skills that you acquire, the friends you make and luck.

Alot of the fun is the interaction between your sims...make them friends, room mates, married...even enemies. Your ultimate relationship depends on your interactions..talk, gossip, hug, kiss..its all up to you.

Because this also includes the living large expansion pack, you can create even bigger houses with better objects, more characters, better themes. Create a love nest or a castle...its up to you.

Summary: It's Wonderful, but after a while it does get pretty old
Review: I love the sims, it's fun, incredibly addicting (I mean incredibly- you can find stories of people who've died in their rooms trying to get their sim to the top of their career track)but for me at least playing it over, and over again, it all got a tad old, and pointless (which is why I'm holding my breath for thesims2 which'll have 10X as much variety), I used to spend half my life on the game, gaining weight, skipping meals, yearning to get home from tennis and sailing (it was during the summer) so I could get home and make a really cool house, I was a sad case. But for me, and many of my friends, I went on one day, craving to see some of the great new stuff I had downloaded the day before and suddenly I was striked with a flash of unenthusiasm- and haven't played the game since. That's the thing with The Sims it will one day give up on you, and you will give up on the sims.

Summary: Save Your Money for the Double Deluxe Version or Another One
Review: So you're not familiar with the Sims, eh? Let me summarize it for you quickly: An oddly addictive game in which gameplay centers on a normal 24/7 daily house life. You'll never find a game quite like it and it probably has the biggest mix of gamers you'll ever see, including people that normally don't touch PC games. Everyone from wild teenagers to shy grandmothers play this game. Because of its record sales, it also happens to claim the largest collection of pseudo-sequel expansions known to man. For those that purchasd the original Sims a few years ago and thought it would be their final purchase, EA insisted otherwise as at least five to seven expansions have been sold since that add new content and game mechanics. The Deluxe Edition combines the original game and the first expansion, Living Large. Now normally, I'd recommend someone purchase the first repackaging of a PC game which includes an expansion but the Sims is a different story. First of all, Living Large was not a good expansion. It added very little new custom content and most of it could already be downloaded off the internet for free. The next expansion, House Party, was the first to add significant changes to the Sims series with not only new content, but additional neighborhoods, new jobs, and other fun stuff. Luckily, there is already a Double Deluxe version available now which combines the original Sims, Living Large and House Party as well as a tiny bit of custom content not available on any expansion. I'd order that edition instead of the Deluxe Edition, just keep it mind it will cost you a little more. But if you're the patient type, I'd wait a few months as all gazillion of the expansions in the Sims will soon be available in the same combo pack because of the game's age and the upcoming sequel.

Summary: Cool Game
Review: I just recieved The Sims Deluxe for my birthday, and I have to say this game is great. As everyone with reviews has said this game is where you simulate the lives of people, like when they go to the restroom, when the take baths, and when they eat and more! They also have many features that can change the way the games goes, like you can build, make the simulation time go faster and slower, and obviously buy stuff. You can take pictures too. At first I was confused on what to do and how to do it, but then as I played I learned what to do. If you were like me, and didn't know what to do then you could just have help things on and they would tell you what to do. It is a very easy game to understand, I got it in about 2 hours. A lot of people have said too that this is addictive, and it is. You are probably wondering why I am saying this game is great, but only gave it four stars: I am a windows XP user, and there are some things that don't work with my computer, it might not work with yours either. To play the game you need to be on the administrative user, but my dad has a user set up for me that I have to use. Whenever I want to play the game I have to get my mom or dad. Also, the arrows are just horrible, the mouse arrow thingies. For some reason whenever you move the mouse you have a bunch of arrows all over the place. And also, when you work with the control panel at the bottom of the screen you can't see the arrows. I don't know about you, but I need one arraow on the screen, no more, no less. Other than those thecnical difficulties this game is really good, and the difficulties are easy to get over.
