Summary: fun but not 2 fun
Review: this game is fun building the buildings and stuff like that but you cant controll your army which came to quite a shock to me becasuse i have all of the age of empires games (gold edition,age of emipires one, age of empires 2, age of emipres rise of rome, age of empires the conquers)you get the point and the real setback is you cant controll the army if you could i would give the game another try, if your an age of emipires fan
this game is not for you of course there nice buildings but 2 little battle.

Summary: one of the best city-building games
Review: When Sierra finished making Caesar III, they started looking at other Civilizations to base a game on. If you have played Caesar III, or any city-building strategy, Pharaoh is a must-have. Pharaoh is base around the world of Ancient Eygpt. The storyline of the campaign starts in the early pre-dynastic period, when Eygpt was two simple Kingdoms. Your job is to United Eygpt and make her great. I like feature of building monuments makes the game very realistic. Also the level of detail on the people in the city is impressive. people alll have unique names and will speak differently to you according to the city's situation. The buildings also look realistic with genuine representations of gods. Replayability is quite high since there are some many buildings and items that your city can produce and trade. The only thing i might criticize is that the buildings and the people are not proportional. But I find this to be only a minor distraction to what is a wonderfully made game.

Summary: This game rocks!
Review: Pharaoh is an excellent example of a strategy game. It is somewhat like a terrarium, where you build structures and watch them flourish. The concept is easy to grasp, but in later levels, it can become very challenging. This game is sweet. Nothing more can be said.

Summary: A Good mix of City Building, History, And Warfare
Review: I really like this game a lot. I am a big fan of city building, historical games and warfare. I thought this game was going to be a lot like AoE or Sim City, but it's not. It has more physical and spiritual need you must provide for your citisen, unlike Sim City, yet does not have as much warfare and unit control like AoE. I like that you can see the progress on the monuments, but they take forever. Overall I think it is an excelent game. Not recommended for people who don't have a lot of paients.

Summary: One of the better cbg's
Review: I have really been getting into the whole city-building game scene and have found Pharaoh to be a neat little game.In all honesty I've been playing this game on "very beginner" and I've found it to be quite challenging - balancing a population and an economy isn't easy in this game - for no reason at all you can go from 4000 people to 1500 and there's no more money to increase wages and no room for new houses - finding the balance can be quite frustrating - I've found myself restarting missions over and over because I learned that farms or hunting lodges needed to be placed here not there or I needed to import this so I could export that - keeps me on my toes. I would have given this game 5 stars but the only thing holding it back is how long it takes to build a monument - you have all the materials and labor why doesn't it build? I think the cause of that is in part to how long it took in real life to build one and sierra is just trying to keep it as "real" as they can. Thanks Sierra!

Review: This game is so cool. I want to become an architect and this gives me experence to building, like Sim city but this is way cooler.

Review: I found this game dull to be honest. I love strategy games but this one isn't all that great. In-game instruction is inadequate and you'll quickly find yourself with a sprawling town that is too complicated to be of any fun and difficult to manage even on the very first level. My recommendation, try it before you buy it, in case you hate it as much as I do. Anyone wanna buy my copy?

Summary: Pharaoh
Review: Pharaoh is a very fun and a VERY addictive game. I first discovered it while staying at a friends house. Now that I am home, and without this game. I am having Pharaoh withdrawls. It is a very difficult game though. You must build a city and govern it while trying to keep your citizens happy (who are very demanding and picky people)all at the same time. It takes alot of patience and brain power. You must build monuments, hold festivals, make entertainment, build temples & shrines for worship, build health and sanitation areas, build armys for battle, gold mines, farming, hunting, education, and the list goes on. It is so much fun and it keeps you busy. Soon you will be dreaming up new ways to improve your city. And I mean dreaming in your sleep and while you are awake and busy. If you are thinking on purchasing this game than I highly recomend it. I have yet to try Cleopatra & CaesarIII.

Review: Pharaoh is different, in the sense that the workers in the game tend to act randomly and can be hard to control. This game just never really clicked with me. Starcraft, Warcraft, Age of Empires, and Civilization were more enjoyable to me. But if you have played these to death give Pharaoh a try.

Summary: Deep, Long-Term Playability
Review: I purchased Pharaoh four months ago and I am still playing (at "Normal" difficulty level), having reached the rank of Pharaoh (perhaps I am close to finishing?). Historically accurate, visually precise and colorful, well-designed (no glitches or crashes), and great long-term fun. If you're into first-person shooter games or frenetic speed, skip Pharaoh. However, if you are looking for a game with which you can kick back, relax and have fun before turning in at night, Pharaoh's your game. (IOW, it's a "wind-down" game, not an adrenaline rusher).I've played AOE, AOK, Caesar 3, and while AOK is the best game I've ever played, this is probably 2nd. Well worth the investment.
