Summary: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic
Review: I haven't played many Star Wars video games but I was excited about this one. Before it came out I had imagined it would be role playing game along the lines of Morrowind. It is to some extent but you can't really roam at random. It is fun to immerse yourself in the Star Wars universe though. While the game is huge it moves along in a linear fashion. There are a huge amount of side quests to follow however.

The game has a quality story line that fits well in the Star Wars mythology. If there is one problem I have it is with the destruction of a planet. I thought that was a needlessly violent act, by now we get that the Sith are evil, do we need to see another planet bomarded into space debris? It also took away some of the replay value for me. The graphics are very good I think, with some cool looking special effects during fights and cut scenes. I like the character models better than Morrowind. The biggest problem I have with the graphics is the characters. There are only a few different looking human characters. It seems they used the same models with a few variations in hair and clothes. It's a small thing but distracting to me. The backgrounds are well done and retain the Star Wars style.

The game is addictive, I find myself playing more and more. Overall this is a fun game to play if you like Star Wars or role playing games, it's like the standard RPG with a science fiction twist and can recommend it to fans of Star Wars, RPGs and science fiction.

Summary: 125th dumbest game I've ever played. It was o.k.
Review: Overall: a half decent game, a hybrid action/role-playing. I preferred Jedi Outcast. I suggest that one first (unless you like cut scenes, talking, etc)

Positives:
1). You are interested in building the powers of your characters
2). Politically inncorrect verbal choices are yours around every corner
3). Great graphics
4). Battles 'can' be fun (3 jedi throw thermal detonators, then all throw their lightsabres into oncoming traffic, then hack n'slash baby)

Negatives
1). Switching from blasters to swords and back again gets tiring
2). Limited battle strategy for the weary. 3 jedi w/ lightsabers and hack n' slash is the best offense.
3). Since your a jedi everyone wants you to rescue someone, side quests are just not that motivating
4). You've got to 'baby' your fighters in battle, constantly reminding them what actions to take. No common battle sense.
5). Characters have too many emotional problems

Summary: Absolutely must have!
Review: Decent picture, realistic Star War universe, unlimited ways to play ...
Most bad reviews are about crash and hardware requirement.
My box is p4 2.6G, 512RAM, ATI 9600 pro video card, with win2k sp4, all OS updates from MS. It should just be a machine a little above average.
This game runs rock solid on it, never has any problem --- it's 4 or 5 hours continuosly, everyday.
It does not even crash when I was using some game hack tools to modify my money and skill points. :)

Summary: This game is worse than crack
Review: The game starts off slow but once you become a jedi and the lightsaber ignites forget about any semblance of a normal life. This is a warning to those who lead busy lives, like to get enough sleep, and keep regular hours.

Summary: WARNING - Check your graphics card before you buy!
Review: We bought this game from a national retailer without reading the (extremely) fine print on the bottom of the box. On loading, the game informed us that our computer "Failed the graphics card test." That's as far as we got. The store won't take back opened software.

The game requires a high-end ATI or NVIDIA card with OpenGL 1.4, DirectX 9.0, and Hardware Transform and Lighting compatibility. If you don't know what this means, or aren't sure if you have it, don't buy this game.

Summary: High Requirements
Review: If you have a Xbox, then just buy (the Xbox version). The system requirements are pretty high on the PC version.I have the Xbox version, and KOTOR is so good,it rivals Halo...

Summary: A must have for Star Wars and CRPG fans
Review: Simply the most immersive, visually thrilling, action packed game I have ever played. Compares favorably with the all time greats such as Baldur's Gate, BG2 and Planescape:Torment. Much better than the Jedi Knight series of games due to the RPG approach rather than FPS approach.

Buy this game.

Summary: Feel the force with this amazing rpg game
Review: Long awaited for the PC, released last november, this game is easily one of the best games ever. Not only it sets you in the Star Wars world, some thousand years before the movies, it actually makes you feel like a true Jedi.
After selecting your character among many options like male or female humans or aliens, you kick off on board a ship that lets your learn how to play the game via intuitve, in-game tutorials. You hardly need the manual.
From there, it is non-stop action and fun all the way. Visit exotic locales as Tatooine, Korriban, Dantooine and Kashyyyk. In your travels, you will have to confront many, many quests that eventually lead you to a final and climatic ending
In the course of the game you are given many choices which will let you choose the dark or light path of the Jedi. With you, ther will travel many character from Jedi to Soldiers to Triger- happy droids. All this makes for a good laguh or two.
Now, techncally speaking, this is a very demanding game for PC. You must have at least 2gb free space for installation - 3 disks, no less - a strong video card, and a fast processor. Sound is very good, with music from the original movies plus a new score. All the effects are taken directly from the movies, as you can hear the blaster fire and lightsabe wooosh. Graphics are very cool, and even at the lowest setting, they look great.
In all, a game with a lot of replay value and the promise of many hours of great fun!

Summary: The Greatest RPG I Have Ever Played!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: This is honestly the most fun I've had playing an RPG in a long time. Now I've played a number of good RPGs, but they all had one fatal flaw; after a while, they got boring. Take Neverwinter Nights for example; its a great game, but halfway through the story it loses its momentum and gets boring. Knights of the Old Republic never suffers from this loss of momentum. There is always an interesting event or titanic fight around the next corner. Also, the NPCs have true depth and character, something not often accomplished on the PC.

Summary: Great GAme!
Review: This review is coming from a devoted Lucasarts gamer who has been playing Star Wars games since Dark Forces, Tie Fighter, and Rebel Assault. Star Wars KOTOR is by far the best addition to the SW series. Thats right, even better than the amazing JK II Jedi Outcast. The story is amazing, with great plot twists, actually I WOULD SAY THE GREATEST PLOT TWIST OF ALL TIME! Even better than the Teacher ending up being Sir Leigh Teabing, if you people who can choose books know what im talking about. The characters are great. I mean Bastila is probably the best female love interest in any game to date. I mean Jan Ors was okay, really, she wasnt very good with a blaster. Bastila on the other hand is so sexy while swinging a light saber around while powerful arcs of electricity fire form her hands. It is by far the greatest game of all time. Yes, the greatest I have to say. Plot and character development will leave you asking for more. The new LucasArts engine with stop-action (play the game to find out what i mean) is probably the best new addition to a certain type of games since C and C Generals. Overall, I belive you should buy this game, as it took my breath away everytime I played it.
THeo
