Summary: Can't get enough of your love baaaabe.....
Review: Hello People,

Thinking about buying this title yeah? Well I believe if you've bought the last two expansion packs (House Party, Livin It Large) then this one will definetly be one you'll want to buy since this one has more items compared to the last two expansion packs and that it is the freedom to take your date around in the town.

Although I find the game somewhat harder in terms of trying to get friendly with people...well...in a sense of being friends or being very friendly if you know what I mean ;) Becoming friends is easy...but trying to find a lover is hard stuff man. Instead of being like the last version of The Sims, you cannae really dive straight in and kiss them (Dammit) instead you have to work round it because they get kinda picky. Peck on the cheek goes a long way which is one of the new interactive options available.

I've not played the game to it's extent yet but another cool feature as mentioned earlier is the options to take your partner (or yourself if your not cool enough) to the town. Remember that you could give gifts to people in the last versions? Well in this one, you go out and buy your own gifts, your own cloths etc and take your date to dinner and hehe...play footsie.

It's definetly best to buy this game people...it's funny and well worth it.

Note: It's not mentioned on Amazon but this game works on Windows 2000 and in my country hehe, this game is for 15 y/o and over...you'd understand why when you buy it.

Hope you enjoy reading this and hope you buy this title.

Summary: Great game... A must get for those "sims" gamers!
Review: Great game... A must get for those "sims" gamers! Out of the series, Hot Date is by far the best one yet. The whole downtown area has a definite effect on the great game. The technique of dating, and all the new interactions are great and it's definitly one of the best sims games out there. A good mix of construction, management, interaction, simulation, and great fun! Interested in good computer games... The Sims Hot Date is going to be by far one of the best! GET IT!

Summary: FRUSTRATION IN SIM CITY ----
Review: The game promises and delivers everything you ever wanted to do with your Sim, IF you can live with "Frozen Screen","Game Crash", "Freeze Game", "Music Skip" and a million other bugs that I am sure that Maxis found quiet acceptable before shipping. This game would be their best yet if they would only patch it up. As for any sound problems: after installing this in 7 different computers and having the same problems, I have found that the sound problems are indeed, yet another bug that can and do slow the game down. This is in new machines and old alike. All Direct X intact and drivers upgraded. If you run it with only an installation of The Sims and none of the other Sims extension packs, you will run easier but will remain somewhat buggy. I expected more from Maxis. This game needed debugged before shipping.

Summary: Would like to give 5 stars, but....
Review: I would really love to give this game a 5 star review, but there are too many bugs in this game if you are running Windows 2000. I was able to run The Sims, The Sims Living Large and The Sims House Party with NO PROBLEM while running Windows 2000, and all Hot Date ever does is crash right when I'm starting to have fun. Until Maxis releases a patch to fix this game, do not bother buying it if you are running Windows 2000.

PS - if you don't believe me about all the problems with this game, feel free to visit thesims.com website and check out the message boards/BBS - there are a ton of posts about people having problems with this game, and there are also posts from people who love it.

Summary: love it!
Review: It's truly addicting! I do agree that it's frustrating when the people get stuck though. Sometimes i'll try to get them to call a cab to go home and they wont go to the phone. Also, I wish it didn't take so long to get food and eat when in restuarants. But overall, it's great. Just getting all the new items is worth it!

Summary: Best Expansion So Far!
Review: The expansion set "Hot Date" is the best expansion set Electronic Arts has come out with so far. It allows you to take your Sims "Downtown" to shop, dine, meet new people and go on dates. You can also design your own downtown buildings without a money limit. It's a little buggy and sometimes the downtown can get confusing and muddled with all the Sims wandering about, but overall I would reccommend it to anyone who is an avid Simer!

Summary: No
Review: This is the worst game ever. There is almost no gameplay and it takes hours of working up to your date to get 1 kiss. Dont buy it.
