Review: Counter Strike is the greatest online first person shooter modification out there. I have seen well over 40,000 players online at any given time. However, those who are looking for a graphically flashy game will not find it here, since the Half-Life engine is already several years old. Don't forget though, you can usually find this Mod at websites for free.

Review: Counter-Strike (called CS respectfully by its adoring fans such as myself) is THE online multiplayer game. It is, as I like to put it, the God of all games, and we CS fans are its faithful followers :). Regardless of what kind of computer game you like (RPG's, first-person shooters, world-domination, etc.), CS is the game that beats them all. I'm not sure if anyone can really figure out what gives CS its magic. Some of the possibilities may be that it is majorly based around strategy and team coordination. Also, you learn hand-eye coordination and gain awesome reflexes like you never would in any other game seen on the market. You cannot come into CS and start off well from having played other first-person shooters, but once you get good at CS, you can go into other first-person shooters and be good. It's the game that wins them all, and no computer or video game will ever be better than this.

Review: This game rocks. It is so realisic. 2-3 shots kill you instead of like 30 rounds! There is no more cheating on this anymore. Download the new patch and you'll be playing wuth no problem. The graphics are really not that bad. If you have a good video card crank this sucka up as much as you can. The blood is really a joke. Little bubbles of red stuff that pop out for like a 2 seconds. Don't denie yourself this awsome action online experience. 5 out of 5 all the way.

Summary: Counter-Strike... Great Expansion for an Already Great Game
Review: I love Half-Life. This game is so much fun and was groundbreaking when it first hit the shelves. It got so many awards, including many Game of the Year awards to boast about. Counter-Strike, although it really doesn't have to do with the original Half-Life story, is great. This is really a one-of-a-kind game that has yet to be beat. You simply can't touch it. The game, with its modes of play varying from escape (Terrorists evading the counter-terrorists, basically a classic deathmatch) to the more complex such as hostage and assassination modes, provides a unique experience while being incredibly fun. If you have the high-definition realization pack and a nice graphics card running at a resolution of at least 1024x768, this game looks pretty good. Although the game has one minor shortcoming (Some of the weapons don't have real names and the models are flawed slightly), there is really nothing to complain about unless you want to nitpick. There are always servers running all sorts of maps on the internet, so you can always find a game. Be sure you have a broadband connection, though, because dialup doesn't do this game justice. This game is a MUST for a LAN party. Overall, this is a very, very fun game that is very open-ended and never plays the same twice. Even if you get owned by the hardcore gamers or you school the newbies, this is a very fun game that never grows boring.

Review: This is an awsome game. If you like first person shooters you will live this game. The graphics are average but the game play is awsome. Incase you don't know about this game it is a multiplayer game only and you go on a server a play on a terrorist or counter-terrorist force. There are relistic guns and are somemany levels. If you are looking for an awsome shooter game buy Half-Life Counter Strike

Review: That's how long I've been playing this thing. Sure, I've "retired" for 6 months here and there, but I never failed to come back when a new beta came out (although I skiped 1.3 entirely).

The greats -
There's ALWAYS 30 - 40 full servers any time of the day (or night, or early in the frikken morning). No other online action game can boast that. I've played other FPS titles only to spend hours trying to find populated server with decent ping. On CS I have problem trying to find one with good ping that isn't full!

There are now literally thousands of maps out there for CS. Besides the dozen or so on regular rotation, you get hundreds of great unofficial maps being played on many servers out there. My favorite being the so called 'fun maps', such as fy_iceworld and awp_map.

The bad-
Cheating. I have yet to go to a server that doesn't have one. Don't listen to the rookies who doesn't know a wallhacker from an aimbot user. I've being through the many reiteration of the cheats, from the gl_zmax cheats of ole to the ogc that plagues the game now.

But you know what, even through the cheats and the whining and the complaining...me and hundreds of thousands (1.4 beta got over 2 million downloads from 4 sites) of other player out there keep on coming back for more.

Summary: IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE!
Review: If you value your life....dont get this game. I've been playing for a year. The game was suggested to me by some friends from a couple of other games, i dropped all the other games and ive been playing 2-12+ hours a day. If you want a good game get this one, i have NEVER GOTTEN A BAD REVIEW ABOUT IT. I showed it to my friends and now all 12 of us play, and a couple of them are in the clan that i lead now. It's the best game ive ever played and ever will play.

Review: This has to be the best game I have ever played. It is so addictive. I love how you work as a team to destroy the other team with brute force. BUY THIS GAME. I promise it will be the best game you have ever played!!!

Summary: Great game! A must buy.
Review: You have and old doll, its beat up, the arms are gone, one of the eyes have fallen out, and many holes make the doll look like a piece of junk, but no matter what you still seem to love it. The same goes with counter-strike. Graphics are old but still fine, internet problems spoil games sometimes, and anonomyous glitches occur with no explainable reason ruining your fun, but you still love it. This game is like that old doll but remarkably incredible. Now with a lower price than ever before, why wait to buy it? Gameplay is very realistic and never gets
old. Here are my ratings:

Graphics: 3 stars, this is because the game is rather old. Graphics seem outdated and beat by other games, but this doesn't bother me at all.

Gameplay: 5 stars, Gameplay is incredible. It's never gotten old for me and coming back to play the game again day after day never dulls down. The teams are also well balanced along with the weapons, and with a maximum of 32 players on a server can lead to total mayham and fun as you blow away you opponents.

Audio: 4 stars, the sound is very realistic and models each gun accurately. When you play in the game and hear a gun shot u can instantly tell which gun it is, which might run a chill down your spine if you have a little baby gun, leaving you a victim of their hunt.

Replay: 5 stars and 3 words, NEVER gets boring.

So for all you people out there thinking about buying it, DONT THINK AND BUY IT! (For you mom's, dont worry about the violence and gore, its just simple gameplay and fun for your child, and there isnt much gore at all in the first place.) =)

Review: Counter-Strike is a great game. It's realistic, fun, and addictive. It's amazing how a game with a 6-year-old engine could still be so fun to play. Be careful though, you can save a few bucks by just buying Half-Life: Game of the Year Edition and then downloading the Counter-Strike MOD from the Internet.
