Summary: Awsome
Review: Half-life 2 is gonna be the best game for a long time. All new effects and technology is used to make this game perfect. One thing i dont understand is (Please do not be mad at me for asking a question) Why is this game coming out December 15th? Half-life 2 comes out September 30th.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Half-Life 2 will revolutionize the PC gaming.
Review: If you have been to E3 of 2003, you will probably think this game is the best thing ever, but the truth is, a lot of events in the tech demo shown in E3 are entirely scripted, so the game is probably not going to be 100% as good as in E3...

maybe only %60, I would say...

But is that %60 enough to make Half-Life 2 the best pc game ever released so far? Oh--yeah! Definitely!

Half-Life 2 emphasize greatly on physics, realistic physics, but that doesn't mean this game is played like Counter-Strike (CS some people prefer to call). It doesn't kill you with a head-shot or two mere shots from a pistol; the realisim of Half-Life 2 is not at its difficulty, but the interaction with the enviroment.

Imagine a game world that let you do a variety of things to counter your enemies, open the doors and unlock the triggers with almost unlimited solutions, instead of just have a gun in front and kill things that moves. This is what Half-Life 2 will offer! Every single objects are useable and the terrain can be deformed, and things behave the way they should! (Metal, wood, water...)

The game does require a very high-end machine to play, though, in order to see the absolutely realistice graphical presentation, but the game is very scalable and can be played on low-end machines as well. This game is the most anticipated game of 2003, and you will not be disappointed!

Summary: Source Engine: The soul of Half-Life 2
Review: THE ENGINE:The source engine for Half-Life 2 is the most advanced graphics engine so far, this will allow Half-Life 2 to be very realistic. There will be ragdoll physics and skeletal animation allowing NPC's to be ultra realistic. Enemy A.I. is supposedly phenomenal.
CHARACTERS: Gordon Freeman has returned for the sequel and Black Mesa has been replaced by City 17 for the Half-Life 2 setting. Also the mysterious G-Man has returned. And everyone's favorite security guard, Barney (Valve says that Barney will not act suicidal during shootouts. Gordan's new sidekick will be Ayx, the daughter of one of the Black Mesa scientists.
THE ENEMY: The creatures from Xen are back, but some are your allies (could Xen have been invaded and they need OUR help?). The pesky headcrabs are back along with a variety of new threats like the fifty foot sriders that shoot lasers. But I hope the sausage dogs that shoot electricty are back.
BOTTOM LINE: Half-Life 2 will revolutionize he gaming industry, and will probably out sell its predescessor. Frankly I can't wait.

Summary: Half-Life 2 will revolutionize the gaming industry
Review: GRAPHICS: Although I cannot really give Half-Life 2 5 stars without playing it, I do believe that is what I would give it. Based on how excellent the first one is, and the revolutionary graphics engine (Source engine). From what i have found out the A.I. will be like a real human, and there will be location damage. The will be ragdoll physics and skeletal animations will allow Half-Life 2 to have the boast the best Engine and A.I. on the market.
THE STORY: Gordan Freeman is back along with the G-Man and of course everyone's favorite Barney, of course they will look like people and not just pale rectangular blobs. Black Mesa has been left behind and the mysterious City 17 has replaced it. City 17 as Valve has said is in an area that strongly resembles Eastern Europe. That means Gordan will not be in the southwestern desert. In Half-Life 2 there is an alien invasion BUT some of the Xen inhabitants are your allies (could Xen have been overrun and they need OUR help?). Gordan will have a sidekick named Alyx, supposedly she is the daughter of one of the Black Mesa Scientists.
THE CREATURES: The pesky headcrabs are back, along with an array of new horrors like the fifty foot striders that shoot lasers from its body, and a sewer dwelling hydra. But I hope that the ham dogs that shoot electricity are back.
BOTTOM LINE: This game looks incredible. And I cannot wait for its release.

Summary: Gonna blow your mind
Review: I was never a big fan of the past half-life but played it to pass the time. The new Half-life 2 is amazing. From what I've seen in previews and sneek peeks, it's finally passing up the other games with DOOM III as it's only real competition for now. It's being advertised with a release date of Dec, but I've read it will be released as early as Sept, 03. The scale of this game is amazing too. Huge creatures, excellent 3D environments, etc etc etc. Lets hope it's clipping and gameplay match the visuals and hype.

Summary: Appealing the masses Valve.
Review: If I could rate this game a 0 Star I would, or maybe even some negative stars. Halflife 2 will not have the same physics as Halflife, it's supposed to be more realistic or something or other. MORE REALISTIC?! I'm sorry, but I want my gliding, strafe jumping, bunnyhopping and ramp sliding that is included in the most popular Halflife mod, which is TFC. If Valve ends up making a TF2 it will end up using the same physics engine as HL2. Which means that TF2 will be a cross between TFC and Cr4postrike. I'm sorry, but I don't want it to be at all like CS, can we say "headsh[]t." Valve, give me TFC physics with upgraded graphics and features and I will praise your company.

A realistic game does NOT mean it will be fun or enjoyable. In fact I can almost gaurantee that it won't be fun/enjoyable, just take a look at Counterh4ck(CS for you not so bright). It's supposed to be 'realistic', when really it isn't at all, but is the closest thing that can come to realistic in Halflife. And it's absolutely horrifyingly terrible. When I play it, I just want to crawl up and grab a pacifier because it's so bad.

Now theres the issue of steam. Steam is not going to work it never will! We all know what happened when Valve was going to release it, it got leaked out before the release and was INCREDIBLY buggy, crashed and was just all around the worse thing ever. Quit wasting your time on it Valve, it will never work. Which brings me to another point. How about you make some updates and fixes for TFC, don't waste time on a mediocre mod like CS. We all now TFC takes far more skill and learning than CS.

All in all, this will be the most overhyped and worst game to date.

Summary: BUY THIS GAME
Review: The engine for this game is landmark. I know a game developer who has inside information on the amount of money spent on this engine. Without really letting it out at this time, let's just say it's an enormous sum of money devoted to a game engine.

As the video taken at E3 shows, this game will truly be INCREDIBLE. The original Half-Life took the Quake 2 engine and made a much better single player game than Quake 2 was. Half Life was also the platform for the Counterstrike mod. The other day I went to a site that listed the number of players currently online playing several particular games: Quake 2: ~3000 players, Medal of Honor: ~6000, Quake 3: ~4500, and so on. Counterstrike: ~60,000 people, and it is 5 years old! With THE most advanced engine ever developed and a history of excellent story and single/multiplayer gameplay, this game will be SUPERBLY THE BEST.

Review: this game is going to rock. I have seen sneak previews and this game [is great]. This game is going to blow the orginal half-life away.

Summary: Saw the E3 demo... A must get!!!
Review: This game is going to change the gaming forever!!! A new standard for all FPS! Interaction with all the objects in the game enviroment, with believable and realistic physics, smart-as-hell enemy AIs, and most of all, the graphics! I can't believe it was in a game when I saw the screenshots; I though they were real locations where they used as reference photos to make the game, but then I realized they were in-game screenshots!

Bullets leave marks on EVERYTHING! Bump-mapping wall surfaces, Greates shader effects on water ever, and the facial animation of the characters are just too incredible to believe! This game is the relic of all hardcore gamers! Time to upgrade if you haven't got a decent video card! This game is what the hardwares are made for!

Summary: This is gonna rock...
Review: Half-life was an insanely good game...I've been playing it and the expansions for years and it still exceeds many games being released today.

This game is going to outdo the first by far, as can be told from the incredible footage of the film, and will revolutionise the gaming industry and impact our lives forever...
