Summary: Smashing Graphics
Review: Call of Duty represents a huge step forward in war gaming. From the opening screen the graphics pull you into the game-color and three dimensional solidity are astounding and the game's pace, challenges and solutions are extraordinary. After many hours and a lot of fun with Medal of Honor, Battlefield 1942,Blitzkrieg and many others, this game outranks them in every aspect. It's not easy to play but you can quickly resume the game from the last demise and try again. The scenarios change from American to British to Russian. The opening Russian scene is stolen from Enemy at the Gates except that you are one of the unfortunates in a boat crossing the river to relieve Stalingrad. When that sequence is over your pride of achievement will be powerful. If this is the future of war gaming then we will all be in for some great PC time.

Summary: Hurry up and get here already!
Review: Now I live in Kampala, Uganda Africa on buisness and I ordered Call of Duty online from Amazon and although it hasn't arrived yet it sounds like an awesome game. I sit in my room almost every night just saying over and over "Hurry up and get here already!" Now I'm sorry, but I had to give it only 4 Stars because hey I haven't played it yet.

Summary: Better Single & Multi-Play than Medal of Honor
Review: These developers continue to amaze me. Great sound work, great single player levels and even better multiplayer matches. I can hardly wait for expansions to this, the best FPS out there... until HL2 and DOOM3 hits shelves ;) You'll find me online as Spanky Freekill. Come get some!

Summary: The best single player WWII experiance
Review: Call of Duty is like Medal of Honor except it is WAY better. No longer are you the only person doing the fighting, your teammates A.I. is excellent and the enemy's is aswell. The sounds in this game are incredibly good, this is most recognized in the Russian charge of Stalingrad which is an experiance much like Medal of Honors D-Day level. Online Multi-player is a little weak and if you are looking for mainly that you will probably want to play Battlefield 1942 instead.

Summary: Adrenaline-Charged Slice of History Experience
Review: This game is head and shoulders above any battle sim ever written. It represents a significant improvement over the Medal of Honor series. For me, MoH games are much better as a multiplayer experience- provided you can find a decent bunch to play with. CoD's single player experience is awesome- reminiscent of the thrill of a good MoH multiplayer round. You are immersed in a gaming experience rich in graphics, sound and realistic play action. I was completely absorbed, playing until 430AM one evening. (My wife really regreted giving me this gift). You can tell that many of the MoH development team was on this project as there are some critical improvements in playability such as sighting and melee attacks for all weapons. I did miss the ability to "cook off" grenades though. The computer enemies and teammates are still not quite as savvy as human competition, but there are substantial improvements here too. Squadron members harass you if you do things incorrectly, and enemies dart about and hide when detected. The game does play a bit easier than MoH programs, but this is partly the result of a more realistic gaming experience. If you approach a situation cautiously and with strategy, you do not get mowed down instantly. This is unlike some battle sims where you have to play a scene three or four times to memorize the "popout hotspots"- no such frustration with CoD. Do yourself a favor though and play the higher difficulty levels. "Greenhorn" is too easy for anyone.

The Russian Army experiences are arguably the best in the game- very innovative. These missions illustrate the horror of war, and the honor of courageous team play. (I know it's only a game-but this game makes you feel like you are participating in a momentous part of history).

Feel the Adrenaline rush. Experience the terrible horrors of modern war, and know the camaraderie that only soldiering can foster. If you do decide to experience the thrill of this game, please don't blaspheme and play online deathmatches with the software. That would be like listening to Mozart while watching porn.

Summary: Best War Simulation Yet!
Review: Just when you think you've played the best, along comes Call of Duty. Full of detailed graphics and sound, you can all most smell the gunpowder as you fight your way through 24 levels of action. Best still is the ability to play online in quick simulation games. I spent 4 hours playing and didn't realize it! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Summary: The Greatest Game
Review: Where do I begin to describe this masterpiece of a game. First of all to those who wrote reviews before for this game, it is not a sequel to medal of honor: allied assualt. It is an entirely different game. The graphics are amazing, the best I have ever seen. The campaigns are historically acurate and are just great fun. The best part of the game I believe is the fact that you don't have to be the guy who goes point all the time. Most of the time you are in the middle of your squad. In MoHAA you are always point lead man. In MoHAA there are a lot of commando missions where you go by yourself sneaking around killing many germans in impossible missions. In Call of Duty there are a few commando missions, but CoD makes them fun unlike MoHAA. I will admitt that the D-Day missions in MoHAA were quite fun, but there was only so few of those kind of missions in the game. All of the CoD missions are like the D-Day missions in MoHAA. Every level in CoD is heart-stopping and jaw-dropping. This game is so real that you will believe that you are actually fighting in World War 2. CoD saves the best for last, so the game gets better and better as you go along. This game, I believe is the best game I have ever played in my life. And believe me, I have played many, many games in my life.

Summary: Best WWII game yet
Review: This game is incredibly intense. If you have experience playing shooter games you should definately choose a more advanced skill level. I've heard complaints about this game that people whizzed right through it. If you choose a more difficult level, I guarantee that you will be challenged.

Summary: Medal of Honor Allied Assault will always be the best...
Review: I've been playing MOHAA since the day the demo came out, and I loved it. Medal of Honor does seem to get old because of cheaters getting in and the expansion packs sucked.
I learned of Call of Duty and couldn't wait for it to be out. This game has great ascepts, the fighting is realistic and the graphics are nice. There are only a few things I dislike about the game..

*Multiplayer - It's fun, but it's very difficult for even the elite players. The levels are nice size, but the spawn points are always coming up in bad places, where you are often shot if your hiding.

The killcam feature is awesome, even though it can give your position away. Killcam, for you that don't know, is a look on how you got shot. After you are killed, a screen will come up and replay the soldier who shot you. It will show how he got in the position to shoot you and how many shots and everything, pretty neat feature.

*Single player is short, but it's pretty nice. This game did dissapoint me where it said "fighting along soldiers"...and all that mess about how it's not like Medal of Honor (where you seem to be a super soldier basically, fighting alot of Germans single handed.
You do have soldiers to join you on the game, but still, everything is up to you. The AI usually never hits anything and they always say "MARTIN GET THAT TANK" or "MARTIN BLOW THE GUN"...they want you to do everything. I would like a war game where it's FPS war...no objectives, just fighting to the death.

This game will get Game of the Year without a doubt, it's got incredible gameplay and it is not at all a bad game.

I'm just homesick for Medal of Honor still...I love Medal of Honors gameplay for Objectives...they are alot better then CoD's.

I'm a big baby, I love Medal of Honor, it will always be #1 in my book.

For a good up to date, action packed war game, check this out most defiently!
