Review: I downloaded the demo 4 this game and when it finished I wanted more! The first game was enchanting and I think this game will be too.

Summary: A psychologically intriguing masterpiece
Review: I have already written a review under my user name of threecrosses, but after writing the piece I realized that I had not mentioned the richness of character representation of people who appear in Syberia 2. The most enigmatic person, the person around whom both Syberia and the Sequel evolve, is Hans Voralberg. It is apparent that Hans was so devastated by the cruelty of his insensitive father that he barricaded himself emotionally from the world, becoming like one of his own automatons. He cannot emote. Kate Walker moves heaven and earth to get Hans to the only place that means anything to him -Syberia- and does she get one word of thanks? No.Does he ever throw his arms around her in a bear hug? He does not. Even Oscar, Hans' automoton creation, appears to have more feelings. There are other unique characterizations, as well: Malka, the tart-tongued, smart little girl; Mr. Cirkos, the ringmaster with a soft spot for everybody; the hypocritical monks; the crusty-seeming colonel; the funny, pudgy Youkols; even the free-wheeling dog -like creature Youki- a very rich broth indeed of characters you will not forget. So although I was mesmerized by the sheer beauty of this game, it is perhaps the characters that had the biggest impact on me. Especially Hans Voralberg.

Review: I have read the reviews after I played the game. On a few negative points I agree, but overall this game was excellent. I know a lot of reviewers had negative opinions on the plot. As in the reviews, I didn't get why her boss was so interested in finding her and bringing her back, but I did understand why she was following an old man to end of his dream, even if Kate doesn't know herself. My five year daughter even got caught up with finding the mammoths and Syberia. That should tell you something about this incredible journey. I must say finally a game with excellent graphics and a story that you can't get enough of. There sure isn't a lot of games out there you say say that about.

Summary: BRILLIANT, BEAUTIFUL, WORTH IT!
Review: I have to admit that when I finshed and replayed over and over again Syberia I, it seemed almost too good to be true that there would be a sequal. HURRAY, HURRAY!

The graphics are BEAUTIFUL as usual, game play in terms of "to-ing and fro-ing" are better. As in Syberia, I actually found myself caring for the characters beyond the "oo-ing" on the gorgeous graphics. Music is wonderful - not a minus - too. I might also add that, given that I was pre-ordered for months on this game, the copy I got ACTUALLY WORKED FLAWLESSLY!!!! It is a little expensive, but WELL WORTH IT - especially since my copy WORKED! COULDN'T RATE IT HIGHER. IS THERE A "SYBERIA III" in the works? I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

Review: I played both syberia's, we need more games like these, something with a plot and a ending.I really liked starting syberia 2 right where syberia left off. Ok fellas, make more and I will buy them. GOOD JOB!

Summary: A very awesome game
Review: I played Syberia I a great deal of times and can never get tired of it. The graphics, the plot, the characters, everything is absolutely amazing. Syberia II is said to have even better upgrades than the first version.

I suggest this game to anyone who likes games where you have to use your wits and doesn't mind going back and forth, trying to solve puzzles. It's a very enjoyable game where you really get sucked into the story, becoming Kate Walker, and trying to figure out endless puzzles.

Anyone into this genre should also try Escape From Monkey Island 4.

Summary: Really Fun Game!
Review: I really enjoyed this game. I liked Syberia too, but I guess by this time, playing Syberia II I was used to all the little quirks that annoyed me in Syberia. The story line is fun (although I have to admit I still don't understand the obsession with the mammoths) the graphics are A+ and puzzles are interesting and related to game play. I don't want to give anything away, but I was actually sad at one part in Youkol Village - you'll know when you get there.

I highly recommend playing Syberia first and then Syberia II but Syberia II is by far the better one.

Summary: The story was good, and the graphics were great. However...
Review: I was eagerly anticipating this game; I loved Syberia and had definitely hoped for a sequel. I'm going to keep this brief because there are already plenty of lengthy reviews, but I just want to start out by saying that I was fully prepared to love this game.

Now that I've finished it, I can't say I got what I was hoping for. As with the first, a well-developed storyline and stunning graphics make this game a standout, but adventure gamers usually want a lot more than just pretty places and interesting stories.

Puzzle play was thought provoking, and well integrated, but not by any means challenging. There's really not much more to say about the puzzles - which should, in my opinion, really be a big part of a game.

Voice acting, again, was lacking. It's not that they read the lines badly, and the dialogue was well scripted, but... there was just a certain lack of emotion in the acting. Along with this, the "gestures" that were assigned to various characters in the game were usually just absurd, and far too exaggerated. Also, the game's logic for carrying on conversations doesn't seem to be too well thought out; when you go through your dialogue notebook, locically you would go through all the choices available at that point. Unfortunately, the way it was designed just gives you the impression of hearing scripted lines, and not a natural conversation - there's a lot of repetition, and not a lot of correlation between the characters' reactions. I think the dialogue is probably the weakest point of this game.

I am not sorry that I bought the game, but I am disappointed. Even the ending, which I was really looking forward to, left a lot to be desired - and not in the same "But what happens next?" way that Syberia I did. If you bought and played the first game, then I definitely recommend this one, just to finish out the story. But it could have been much better.

Summary: As good as Siberia 1, or in other words, fantastic
Review: If you have not played the original Siberia and are deciding which to buy, I recommend getting the first. It is not absolutely necessary to be familiar with the first when playing the second, but you will appreciate it more. That being said, Siberia 2 is just as good, although it felt a bit shorter in overall playing time. The graphics and sound are spectacular, and the storyline is reasonable. I needed hints on a few of the puzzles as it wasn't obvious what needed to be done, but the rapture of the game kept me from getting aggravated. I applaud the makers of this game for sticking with it (the original launch date was delayed considerably). Adventure game makers of products this good should be commended; it seems this kind of game demands so much passion and attention. If you enjoyed The Longest Journey you will probably like this one, perhap even moreso, as the scenery and focus seemed to be a bit more consistent. Do whatever you can think of to convince the right people to keep making games like this!
