Summary: OS/2 Warp really works!
Review: In one sentence I can sum up IBM OS/2 Warp V3, "OS/2 Warp V3 really works!" This statement is based on over 10 years of experience with OS/2 versions 2.0, 2.1 and 3.0. Warp V3 has been on 2 of my computers since 1994, running a variety of DOS, WIN3.1 and OS/2 production applications and games. OS/2 Warp V3 ran on my Thinkpad 500 for about five years with only 4MB of RAM! And it really worked! I finally upgraded to 12MB for a little more speed. OS/2 Warp V3 runs on my IBM PS/2 Model 70-486 and speed is not a problem running OS/2 or DOS programs. ONLY some WIN3.1 programs run slowly, though most run okay. Printing with OS/2 simply works, without the expected slowdowns in Windows. Doing disk maintenance simply works in the background while I work on those things which demand my more immediate attention.

I run Windows 95 and 98SE on newer notebooks and desktops, as those are the only systems I could get with them, but I still prefer to use OS/2 on my older 486s! I find that I often have to reboot under Windows because of crashes while running WIN95/98 programs. OS/2 Warp just works! I might upgrade to Warp 4 some day, but Warp V3 has served me well for 7 years. It really works!
