Review: Aladdin SpringCleaning™ is a great application for Mac OS 8.5 to 9.1. It has 13 separate features: Alias Fixer; Document Finder (finds documents of the same type); Duplicates Remover; Empty Folder Remover; Fat App Slimmer (searches for fat binary applications); File Checker (searches for damaged files); Font Remover; Help Remover; Internet Cache Remover (searches for cache, cookie, and history files stored by internet browsers); Mac Uninstaller (searches for a specified program and its associated files); Orphan Adopter; Orphaned Pref Remover; Storage Items Remover (searches for items stored in the Storage Folders). It is very easy to run, and it does help clean up old and duplicated files on your hard drive, desktop, and removeable media. You have several options to choose from when using the various features; for example, you can delete files, move files to the trash, place files in "storage," and choose to ignore files from any future searches. I have found and deleted many duplicated files on my hard drive by using this application. Aladdin includes an iSupport feature with a pull-down menu for software registration, check for updates, product support, feedback and comments, their download center, email lists, and homepage. There is a push for Aladdin Technical Support available as a pull-down from the Help menu.
