Summary: Very addictive game
Review: the sims is a very addictive game, i have only had it for a couple of days, and i can't keep my hands off it. it is all the sim games combined, not only can you create a family, and control their every move, but you can build their (or your) dream house, either by just furnishing an existing house, or build one from scratch, using the awesome architectural tool. though all the controls may seem a bit confusing at first, they are really very simple to master. overall, i'd say that the sims is a very worthwhile game to buy.

Summary: great game!
Review: well, i've had this game for a little over a week now and i'll have to say it's truly addicting. not only is playing the actual game addicting but downloading new clothes or furniture for my Sims off of the Web has also been a time consuming yet also fun part of the game. As for Mac users not being able to use skins and objects for PC, that's untrue. There's a Web site I found (...) which is dedicated to The Sims on the Mac and they'll show you how. i'd have to say that if you liked the SimCity games, you'll like this much more.

Summary: Raise the sim roof
Review: Are you looking for a good christmas gift for your chldren grandchildren? Look no further than the sims. In the Sims you start off by creating a family of one to eight members. Then you must build or by a house with the limmited money you have. The characters must then buy the needed applainces for your family (or just cool unneededthings.) with money you get from work. Actually there are no uneeded applainces. For instance a basketball net may sem like an unneeded item however, what if your job is a pro athlete you will need this item to get promoted. You also must be happy to get promoted in any job so items like a tv can help. You don't need to have only one family, you can build about 8. (and more with the expansion.) You can even control what the characters do and get married and have kids. However, I wouldn't recomend this game to children under 8 because it deals with some Mature themes like sex and nudity, but these scenes are never very graphic and also edited. This is also a great gift for adults too, it is very fun.

Summary: my laptop battery is running low
Review: Be very careful with this game. It is so much fun and so addicting that you will find all your conversations beginning with : "Guess what my sims did today?" I have had this for 2 weeks now and most of my spare time is spent playing the game. I do not normally play video/computer games! It is complex, challenging and SO MUCH FUN.

Create ex-boyfriends - stick them in a room, then delete the door. Watch them die! (if you have a sick sense of humor). Make all the women sims fall in love with each other! Think before you have a baby. You'll never have fun or peace and quiet again.

You can drag your mp3s into the music folders (music->stations->rock or latin, country, classical) and have the sims listen to the music you want!

For the mac version, to use the cheat to get more simoleons : hold down shift+command+c in the upper left corner you'll get a window, type in rosebud. This cheat is wonderful if you like to build big impressive houses, castles with moats even! Why make your sims work when they can be millionares and concentrate all energy on falling in love?! If you aren't a cheater then buy a computer which makes job hunting so much easier. Find the cheat to see your sims au natural online...

This game is sooooo addicting that you may find yourself dreaming of sims - thinking of things to do to them while you are away from your computer and then wondering how _your_ bladder is doing!

Love, life, food, death, drama, music, money! What more could you want?

I can't wait for Livin' Large to arrive at my door!

Summary: Actually, there are downloads available
Review: In a recent issue of MacAddict, they name sites which have Mac downloads, plus they tell you how to edit the PC files to work on the Mac. Visit their site to find out how to take advantage of all the PC Sims files.

Summary: The Greatest Game!
Review: Finally a game that makes you incharge and lets you create the people. I would say it was worth buying the sims, because it is some thing me and my brother can finally agree on and it is FUN.

Summary: Virtual Doll House
Review: The Sims will probably appeal to people who have not bought many games. In fact, it is more of a toy than a game, nice for showing off your computer, but diehard gamers will find it dull. Like other sims, it is an exercise in resource management. Character attributes are increased by performing certain relevant tasks -- for example, lift weights to increase body skill, then get promoted. Once these have reached their maximum, however, and the character has reached the top of his career track, there is little left to do but buy more stuff and arrange it. The description of it as a virtual doll house for adults is appropriate. The Sims is intriguing, occasionally humorous. To me, one mark of a good game is if I find myself thinking about it when I'm away from the computer. So The Sims is a good game, but not a great game. Because it is relatively easy, and very open ended, without many obstacles, challenges, or goals, it will not hold the interest of the average gamer.

Summary: great
Review: I first read about The Sims in a local newspaper and i just thought wow who could design a game simulating life with it being tedious. I bought the game anyway and discovered it was anything but tedious. It was addictive, exciting and challengeing. Sure at first it is easy but to really succeed it is hard. You not only get to act as god by controlling your sims but you can make the clothes, wallpapers and floors that they will use in there virtual homes. You build there homes and you furnish them. And if you dont do it right your sims can die (but most likly they will just pee their pants). You can also go onto the web and download in a second new objects, skins, walls, and floors for your game. This game really is great and the add on pack livin' large looks like it will improve it so its twice as good. This game is GREAT.
