Summary: the best plug-in for Illustrator, EVER!
Review: I have been using Hot Door CADtools for years. I upgraded to version 3 so I could use the plug-in in Illustrator CS... and the plug-in has even more tools than before! I am not a CAD person and I don't do architectural drawings - but I use CADtools ALL THE TIME!

CADtools comes with isometric drawing, projection & dimensioning, dual dimensioning & tolerancing (I love that one), tangent tool, improved labeling, a smart trim tool and much more!

Whenever I am making storyboards for departments at work or for my freelance clients, I use CADtools to make the call-out arrows and descriptions. I recently had to make a diagram with measurements for one of the departments here at work - using the intuitive click-n-drag tools, I was able to do in seconds what used to take hours of fiddling.

After upgrading to a new computer at work and installing all my apps on the new computer, I ran into a snag (user error) in getting one of the tools to work. I left a message at Hot Door and one of the developers of the plug-in called me personally to walk me through the steps of getting everything working... talk about fantastic customer service!

In the past nearly 9 years that I have been a professional designer and freelancer, I've got to say that CADtools is by far the most useful plug-in suite I have ever encountered, not to mention the modest price for what is included. God bless you, Hot Door!
