Summary: Has everything I wanted
Review: I needed an organizer that would allow me to keep track of favorite recipes from many sources: magazines, newspapers, Web, e-mail, and dozens of cookbooks. This is a great database! It allows easy import of recipes, including keeping a picture with the recipe, and is flexible enough to let me make all the changes in format and such that I want. The search engine is good, and can be tweaked if you want.

Summary: Recipe Organizer Seems Half-Baked
Review: PrimaSoft offers a fully functional trial version of the application which is little more than a data repository. The information is entered and maintained in a very "standardized" manner and reporting abilities are quite limited not to mention bug ridden. It seems they set out to create a generic data management tool and then sell it with a different wrapper (organize golfing, etc.). The result is a slightly stylized database with bugs still to be resolved. I'd stick with Excel or Access, then pull it into Word to make it appear more like a recipe!

Summary: Bad program
Review: Program advertises itself as a recipe program, but in actuality it is a database program without any easy way to print out your recipes. It would be useful to keep track of lots of receipes and seach them quickly if you are a professional chef or a writer of cook-books, but it is useless if all you want to do is be able to keep your family recipes in a computer so that you can print them out in a nice format when family or friends ask you for them.The descriptions of the program are misleading. We wasted several hours trying to work with it. Fortunately you can download a trial copy before buying.
