The Premium edition includes advanced 2-D parametric CAD drawing, publication-quality graphing, new modeling, simulation and analysis tools, and more advanced solving and optimization routines. Mathcad 2001i Premium adds Windows XP capability, new math functionality, new authoring and security features, improved Web deployment, enhanced data acquisition support, and many general usability enhancements. It also includes new versions of three components: Axum 7, SmartSketch 4, and VisSim Plus. Axum 7 features built-in data analysis tools for publication-quality technical charting. SmartSketch 4 provides parametric drawing tools for easy creation of 2-D CAD designs. VisSim Plus combines VisSim Professional Edition with model support for up to 100 blocks and VisSim/Analyze, a tool for prototyping, testing, and analyzing the stability of dynamic systems.
