Review: Although the product page says "usually ships in 24 hours", my order placed 1/9/03 is now scheduled for delivery by 2/28/03!
So don't order this product if you're in a hurry.

Summary: NEW USER TO DVD
Review: Fantastic product, never used an editor or produced a dvd before, tried DAZZLE's DVD COMPLETE and it didnt work on my machine (P4 /xp home) so this was next inline and it worked.Out of the box it came, made one alteration to the export settins (which was export to PAL as it is set to NSTC) within 20 minutes i was holding my first DVD GREAT STUFF

Summary: Roxio messed up wtih this
Review: First of all, it does not work. I wanted to burn VCD on my CD-R, it won't. Went to find support about why it won't, there isn't any support. Went to the customer's forum and found out the product has been bad, and not supported for 2 years. Save your time, find something that functions. I'm back in the search for a "WORKING" VCD creator.

Summary: Good one for Beginners
Review: First time using a Software like this. Easy to use interface. And easily create movies using automatic wizard. Also available manual creation of movies for advanced users who would like to design how their mopvies should look. Good collection of transitions and other stuff. Had some initial trouble during setup. But reinstallation helped. Cannot award 5 stars as this is not ideal. The software does not detect already encoded video and tries to encode it again. Good software for beginners and not so advanced for professionals. Got this free after rebate , so no complains.

Summary: Easy, Easy, Easy
Review: For the price, this product by Roxio is fool proof. You can make a custom DVD or Video CD quickly and painlessly and make it look very good. Simple to install and great to play around with, I highly recommend it. Especially because it is FREE!!!

Review: I bought this program to run with a dedicated computer to make dvd's for my dog training business.
Plus side, easy to install on my new sony computer,rarely freezes, transfererred files from canon dv camcorder.
story line editor is fairly easy to use,. down side, the text editor really sucks, if you need to add text to dvd section like i do, then this program really shortchanges you. The directions that come with it are a bit limited and require imagination to apply.
cannot add pics, which is a drag, This program builds basic, simple dvd with chapters, once you figure out that a "chapter" is a movie.
Progrm files and video are drive hogs, filled the c drive in two days of shooting. People like me are really pushing this tech to the edge, it it not quite there.
Good basic, fairly intuitive program,
am considering pinnacle next.
(ps bought a 5$ copy of the free roxio easy dvd on ebay, just to see if it would load, it did.)

Summary: Does not work with new Sony camcorders
Review: I bought this software with the hopes of editing some software using my Sony DCR-IP5. Sofware cannot capture video. Called the company for support . . but you will be listening to a looped recording for 5 minutes.. . nothing in their website of much value. . . and if you must talk to a person . . you have to pay $20. It may be nice software . . . but I suggest looking around for comparable products with BETTER SUPPORT.

Summary: There are better choices
Review: I found out that it doesn't create SVCDs. Also, the video editing is quite limiting, not even as good as the free Windows MovieMaker 2, or Ulead VideoStudio. Finally, the text on the product tour dialog doesn't show on my Windows XP machine. So my advice is: Look somewhere else for video editing software. This one is not worth it.
