Rating: Summary: Finally, I can HEAR the radio in the shower! Review: After trying several different shower radios and finding myself disappointed time after time (poor signal strength, knobs that are too hard to adjust with wet fingers, battery monsters, etc.), finally, a shower radio that works just fine! The signals are all clear, the knobs are not round, rather they are multi-sided, and the hanging issue isn't an issue for my shower head. The price? Well, who could ask for a better deal? The only "wish" I have...a clock to remind me it's time to stop signing along to the radio and get dressed! No regrets :)
Rating: Summary: Bad reception Review: I originally spent $35 on a fancier shower radio, and that broke after two months. Frustrated, I decided to buy this less expensive shower radio based upon these reviews. I am very disappointed. The reception is terrible, and this makes the radio essentially unusable. This was a waste of $9.99. I think I am giving up on shower radios, and will buy a cheap transistor radio, and put it outside the shower, on high volume.
**EDIT: Okay, I've discovered that the reception is only terrible on FM. On AM, it seems to work fine. However, considering I bought it to listen to FM stations, I'm disappointed.
Rating: Summary: Great buy! Review: I was skeptical that such an inexpensive shower radio would be of a decent quality, but I just love this product! The design is extremely good and it's worth much more than this. In fact, I've seen it elsewhere for twice as much. Scoop this up.
Rating: Summary: Low price, high quality Review: I wasn't sure about buying such a cheap shower radio, since all of the other ones I saw were quite a bit more money, but I'm glad I spent the ten bucks on this one. It works great and it is simple which is all I wanted. You can listen to am/fm clearly and the knobs are easy to turn with your wet fingers; it feels durable, and it hangs nicely over my shower rod. I think that for only ten bucks this qualifies as a five star product! :)
Rating: Summary: Works fine, hanging's an issue Review: In general, it works fine, no complaints. The hook is hard plastic and rather narrow on the underside, however, so it has a tendency to slide down my showerfixture until it hits the showerhead. Not a big deal, and I didn't expect perfection for my ten bucks, but not a 5-star product.
Rating: Summary: Too hard to tune Review: This radio doesn't have any digital tuning and no antenna so it's hard to tune a station and as soon as your hand moves away from the radio, it loses reception. The speakers are also very tinny! I returned it...
Rating: Summary: You get what you pay for/Stay away from this one. Review: Wanted a simple radio for the shower and thought this one would do the trick.
PROS: Small size and easily hangable.
CONS: Sound quality isn't that great, then again, it is only a $9.99 radio. Tuning into your favorite radio stations isn't easy, so if you are like me and enjoy AM and FM, switching between the two and finding the specific station is a pain, once again, it is only a $9.99 radio. If you listen to one station and one station only this shouldn't be an issue.
MAJOR CON: After a little over one month of ownership (past the thirty days that I could return it to amazon.com) the volume control is shot, regardless of how much you move the dial it stays at the loudest volume. Still no word from the manufacturer on what I am suppose to do with the radio.
My Advice: I would NOT RECOMMEND this radio. Poof, $9.99 I'll never see again.
