Rating: Summary: Spend more on batteries than on the radio Review: I received the GPX AM/FM shower clock radio for Christmas in 2002. It has good reception and good sound but it goes through batteries like crazy. It takes 4 AAA batteries to run. At first I used Duracell and got 4 ten minute showers before replacing the batteries again. This went on for two months (I had a multi-pack to use up). Switched to Energizer the beginning of March and can get 6 ten minute showers out of those. Even if I bought the no-name batteries at the $...store by the 4-pack, I would still be spending more than $... to play a radio that I estimate cost less than $.... Seems kinda ridiculous. I had a shower radio years ago that ran on C-size batteries and I only replaced those 2-3 times a year.
Rating: Summary: Oh I hate it when I buy China unwittingly! Review: I try not to buy things from China on purpose. (Not because of any prejudice toward Chinese people, but because boycotting can be effective at political change...it's a long story). But I innocently ordered this because of my terrible habit of being late in the am, and thinking, "Maybe this will help." It doesn't. Here, the adage, "One gets what one pays for" applies. The encasement is a very pretty white and blue (hence the 2 stars) , but the reception is poor, in that once you get a station, it won't stay in; the clock is very hard to read in the steamy shower....could they have made it a glowing read instead of black letters? And it could very well be made by prison labor, given the country of origin.

Rating: Summary: Radio or white noise generator? Review: I was excited to get my new shower radio. Excited until I put the batteries in and found out how terrible it is. I get none of my favorite stations- stations that come in fine on my old radio I was hoping to replace. What a piece of junk!
Rating: Summary: Clunky and junky Review: Put any source of music into the shower, and you've vastly magnified the experience, whether that means waking up with more zest or soothing down with more soul. But since you're going to get all that out of something, almost every day, spend a few more bucks and get something that isn't quite as clunky, and has better reception. And why just a radio, when several other options allow you to play CDs, too?
Rating: Summary: it stopped working after 1 month Review: the battery hatch did not keep the water out and the batteries correded.
Rating: Summary: For [the price] Heck Yeah! Review: The only problem is the knobs are a little hard to turn, ... The stations come in quite clear, and the batteries lasted a while, as long as I made sure the "turn off" knob was completly off.
Rating: Summary: good product but far too fragile Review: the power switch broke after only 1 month of use. the turning knob is just not appropriate for wet fingers of a sleepy man...
Rating: Summary: Not what I expected Review: The reception is horrible and the clock is very hard to read. If you actually get a station tuned in, the sound that comes out is just terrible. I would not recommend buying this product.
Rating: Summary: Shower Radio Review: this radio has a terrible receiver in it. I guess you get what you pay for. this shower radio gets a 1 rating in my book!
