Summary: Definitely the best reference software
Review: It's nice that Encarta is now on DVD-ROM. The rich multimedia features, the rich set of reference tools, and a clean user interface make this by far the best reference software on the market. Plus the new version has improved the Internet features.At its heart is the encyclopedia, which has always been a joy to use. While not as "scholarly" (read, pretentious) as some other encyclopedias, Encarta is rich with sights and sounds and makes a great educational tool for adults and children alike. With over 67000 articles in the package that are updated, it also makes a terrific value. If there's one electronic reference you'd like to own, this is it.

i'm interested in Encarta Reference Library 2002 DVD ROM. but i'm wandering if it is suitable in the taiwan region to play the DVD? thanks!

Review: the encarta reference library is good, except that it is a little expensive, but since you can update it it doesn't matter. also, the copy to hard drive feature is great if you have 2.4 GB to spare because it loads about 3 times as faster and you never have to remember to put in a disc. there are so many features to use, it makes it easy to do a research report.

Summary: A Great Piece of Work!
Review: when i first started using encarta it was excellent but i never expected an entire volume set in dvd format! the graphics of the video clips were outstanding and the high quality pictures were awesome. i tried to give it six stars but the drop down menu wouldn't go that high. my remcommendation is to go out and get it because it is well worth the amount of knowledge gained from this product. this encyclopedia is well worth the 60 dollars.
