Summary: Great Software for Middle School Students
Review: Excel @ Middle School covers almost all the subject in school, and it's a great software for a middle school student to do at home. I personally love this software, you should get it.

Summary: Marginal Tutorial Program
Review: Good coverage of the subject areas if you have the time and patience to plod through each subject area and sub-area. Diagnostic tools are extremely weak. The program prompts the user to take the tests in the subject area, but only provides the number correct and a percentage score as feedback. There is no way to determine which questions the user got wrong, consequently providing no way to focus the user's study efforts (i.e. the user may not need to study an entire subject area, but one sub-area). The sub-areas also have a diagnostic test that does provide the user with immediate right/wrong feedback (also allowing multiple guesses), but does not offer a correct solution to the math problem if the user selected a wrong answer first. Last, there are many math and logical errors in the sub-area diagnostic test questions that only frustrate the user.

Summary: Not greatest for fun
Review: I bought this program for my little cousin in hopes that his math skills would improve for college. The program is put together pretty well, however, it is not much for making the subject fun. I purchased this program in hopes that he would be able to interact and enjoy math a little more but unfortunately it failed him in that area. I felt as if he might as well have just read a textbook instead. The good thing about this software is that it does a good job helping you plan goals. Also the tests that are provided give you good practice, but overall, it can be pretty boring. It really does give good explainations on how to do a certain math function; I just wish it was a little more fun.

Summary: pros and cons
Review: I purchased this cd as a refresher course to take before entering college and found it great!! I have been out of school for 10 years but had no trouble catching up because of all the great examples in this cd.

Summary: A good value.
Review: I purchased this six CD set mainly for the six previously released programs. These decent programs include Math Blaster Pre Algebra, but does NOT include Math Blaster Algebra. It is a little annoying that these programs are not on stand-alone CDs. You have to run the main program from the first CD, select the "extra" program and switch the CD when prompted. I am happy with the product, and would buy it again.

Review: I wish I knew how ALL the cds were, but the few that would install were okay. The encyclopedia is very complete, and the typing is pretty good.

Review: pros// the good thing about this program is well, it DOES teach you something. there's a lot to learn. they explain subjects to the last word. there's a calender for you to plan when you want to learn what. cons// ok... it's boring. flat out from my mouth. there is a TON to read. from time to time a mini video would pop out. but it's probably two for every SUBJECT. they explain subjects, yes, but not everything. they don't explain how to solve a problem. ok, they do. but not so you can understand EVERY SINGLE STEP. pointer:: if you buy this, i suggest* buying another reference book or CD. this is just a suggestion from me. if this program is easy for you when you buy it, they you obviously don't need another source.

Summary: Excel Mathematics
Review: This product is good, but you have to do alot of reading like over 20 pagses per little lesson. It dosen't really have a great deal of video interaction. it is good but it is going to take about 2 months to get through it and it bores you after a well. and you have to take breaks or you won't be able to go on.
