Rating: Summary: 2nd JumpStart I've bought, won't buy another. Review: I bought Jump Start Toddler, when my child was a toddler. I didn't like it. In a lapse of judgement this weekend, I bought Jump Start Advanced First Grade. I don't like this one either. It is completely complicated. It will say move the balloon into the correct area, and it won't tell you HOW to move it. Playing it the first time is completely trial and error. There are no clear directions, so a first grader can't do it alone until he/she has done it several times before. The whole thing is supposed to be a scooter race. But, it doesn't tell you how to get the tokens you need to start the scooter race. I don't like this at all. I won't buy JumpStart again. I don't like the story line of the game and the game is confusing to play. I don't know if the educational part is good or not, we're still dealing with HOW to play the thing.

Rating: Summary: A great addition to the Jump Start family! Review: My daughter happens to love this game. She has had her computer since Thanksgiving. She started with JumpStart Kindergarten (fabulous as well), and I bought her First Grade around Christmas. She has found it very intuitive. She just got on and started to play, and more importantly, learn. She does not find it frustrating or overwhelming, just plain fun.

Rating: Summary: A great addition to the Jump Start family! Review: My son is 5 and he's a bit advanced. I had him on the Jump Start series since he was a year old. He masters each title and he's ready to move on. Some have a large gap between ages and this advanced series closes that gap making the transition easier. My son is currently on the 2nd grade advanced and it's going really well. He's learned SO MUCH from this series and it's really easy to navigate around. I would highly recommend this title as it's consistent with the Jump Start high marks in learning. My son never gets bored and always keeps his interest. That's important to me as a parent. He's learning, but he doesn't really know it.
