Rating: Summary: A "Myst" game for the younger crowd! Review: This is a more sophisticated game for young girls than the "Groovin" series or the "makeover" ones. Just like the adult mystery versions (like the ever-popular "Myst"), this game takes Barbie and you through a series of rooms in an old hotel and the grounds surrounding it, searching for clues as to where the missing jewels are hidden and who is also trying to find them before you do. (By the way, when you find your name and enter it in the beginning of the game, Barbie will "talk" to you throughout the journey!)------- My daughter, who is 7, found it difficult to move around at first. (I did too!) I also felt the instructions were a bit vague at to how to "gather" the clues. It took the two of us 45 minutes before we really got the concept of retrieving clues and what to do with them once we had collected them...I think Mattel could do a better job guiding us new detectives along!----- The story line is fun, the graphics are good, and the little side "games" that you can play help to break up the tension of always searching for the next clue!----- All in all, we both found this to be fun, but at times a bit frustrating. With a better "help" feature, I think it would keep things moving. If you like Barbie and you like interactive games, then I'm sure you will like this one!

Rating: Summary: A disappointed little girl.... Review: Why in the world would they still be selling software that only runs on a 16-bit architecture? At least, they should make an upgrade available. Who even looks at that stuff anymore? You just expect the software to run, but if you have a computer purchased in this CENTURY, this won't run. What a disappointed little girl I have.
