Rating: Summary: An Entertaining Game Review: Barbie Detective 2 is basically the same style as the first one, but with a different setting, a new mystery, new suspects, and this time Ken helps to solve the mystery in a way too! However, it is a little bit more challenging then the first one and it took me about an hour to figure out, even with the user's guide. Plus, Barbie is still the slow turtle she was in the first one!! Does she even know how to run?! The bottem line is that it is a fun and challenging game, but maybe to difficult for kids age 5 and under.
Rating: Summary: Barbie Bummer Review: Hi, I bought my daughter Philipa this game and to put it in her words, "Dad, this game you bought me was really no good. I did not have any fun at all. Most of my friends were kinda thrown off by the unrealistic and complicated two dimensional physical world representation, with corresponding navigational method. Total bummer Dad! Why couldn't you have given me a much more natural 3-D game. You know you really need to get with it dad." I think that about sums up the game. So now I am off to find another game. A game with real 3-D.
Rating: Summary: Buy Nancy Drew Instead Review: I am a fan of the Nancy Drew series and thought i would pick this up for under $10.Well i wish i would have just saved my money.Poor graphics,Barbie is hard to control. Also they dont give you too much of a background on the story. So your lost, going blindly through the whole game.So save your money and buy the Nancy Drew series.Better graphics, conrols, and a better story.
Rating: Summary: Best Seires! Barbie Detective! Now the Vacation Mystery! Review: I have the Barbie Detective 1: The Carnival Mystery and I LOVE it! I can't wait to get the new one: Barbie Detective 2: The Vacation Mystery. I adore playing it! It has different clues and a different criminal everytime! It's such a fun and enjoyable game. You move Barbie, gather clues, and play fun carnival games. You move around the carnival trying to find Ken, who kidnapped Ken, and the carnival money. It's a great game and I can't wait until I get my hands on the second one!
Rating: Summary: A wonderful Mystery Review: I love the game, my dad evan played a little with me.Each time you play it you will have a diffrent crook. You also have diffrent clue's.The music is wonderful, and the background is wonderful.I love it.
Rating: Summary: Detective Barbie 2: The Vacation Mystery Review: My 8 old daughter hates this game, she would rather play the younger game Princess Bride or Pet Rescue. The graphics are great and the music fine. The premise for the game is great, however she nor I could not figure out the game, the help screen was useless. She managed to get a few clues, but then couldn't get any farther with the game. She got frustrated, as well did I. Maybe we got a 'bad' disk, but no-one will help us. I'll wait a few years and buy her the Nancy Drew series.
Rating: Summary: Detective Barbie 2: Vacation Mystery Review: My daughter, who's six, loves playing this game. Initially, she needed me to assist her, but now she's very familiar with the features on her own and can play an hour by herself. The characters are interesting, the races are exciting, and the hunt for clues can be initially frustrating but eventually very rewarding. When you find a clue and it unearths another piece of the puzzle, then my daughter gets very excited. The overall design of the game, and the artwork involved, are very impressive. The feature where Barbie occasionally calls her "detective partner" by name is a cool feature. I love the scenes where she taps her toes and meditates on her clues. Becky's crime computer is a nice feature to assist in analyzing the clues. Heck, we even like the music!
Rating: Summary: worse than the 1st Review: This game has bad graphics and its hard to move barbie. when you have to type in your name for your badge they don't have some of the most popular names. if you are thinking about buying this game save your money and buy a barbie doll instead (you could act out your own mystery).
Rating: Summary: Good game, but terrible navigation Review: This game was a lot of fun for my 5-year-old...but I had to play it with her because the navigation was terrible. On the one hand, she's bumping into objects because it isn't smart enough to just have her walk around items (this is for children, after all!). And yet at other times, it is so sensitive that it keeps kicking her out of rooms and locations because you've gone too close to the edge of the screen.
Rating: Summary: Not Impressed Review: This game was hard for me to figure out more or less my daughter. I can get half way through it then I get stuck. The only way my daughter can play it is if I'm right there helping her. The graphics and sound are nice but thats about it. The Help screen is useless. I don't recomend this game.
