Summary: This game is Booooooooooooooooooooooring
Review: Ho-Hum! Run, move blocks, run, jump, move vases; what a snooze-fest. The developers could have made this fun but decided against it for some reason. The graphics? O.K. *snore* The controls? Tomb-Raideresque. ZZzzzzz...

If you must subject yourself to this mess then get it from the discount bin at your local used software store.

Summary: Not nearly up to today's standards
Review: I have a hardware system that allows even the most demanding games to run well on: A Pentium III 600, 256 Megs of RAM, and a Voodoo 3 card. But all this could not help Prince Of Persia look good. The blockyness and blunt nature of the textures and polygons make the game appear as though it were written and released in 1996, not 1999. Not nearly up to the caliber of Quake III Arena or Unreal Tournament. I'm sorry, but htere's now no excuse for letting a game be released with graphics that could have been made considerably better with more development effort and common sense. And it's a shame, becasue the story seems excellent, and could lend itself to a very interesting immersive environment. But the poor graphics hold it back and take the enjoyment out of it.

Summary: Horrible gameplay
Review: I loved the original Prince of Persia, but I've hated this 3D version. The visuals are good, and I'm sure there are some great puzzles in the game, but I'll never get there. I've installed this game twice and each time I've removed it within an hour.

If you loved Tomb Raider's gameplay, you'll probably love this game. If (like me), you thought it was awkward, you'll hate this game.

Controlling the prince feels like parallel parking an 18-wheeler by remote control given only a randomly changing camera angle.

Summary: The BEST!
Review: I think that this game is the best because levels difficult and mind twisting but quite challenging. The enemies seems invincible, they have no brain and useless, just a few finishing moves, they are dead! I also like the scenery and the level called the Dirigible.

Summary: Very Cool!!!
Review: I think this game is relay cool. The one bad thing about it is it's a little slow.

Summary: Voice acting - 0 stars
Review: I'll never understand why todays game makers insist on using their relatives or a passing salesman for voice acting in games when the games cost millions to make. In Prince of Persia everybody sounds American. One reviewer said it sounded more like "The Prince of Pasedena". The game is set in Persia. Is it so hard to find real Arabs with a decent voice? I wouldn't think so. Look in northern New Jersey if you're having trouble finding them.

If I went to a movie today and they used an American actor to portray an Arab Sheik, that actor better be first rate cause otherwise it ruins the movie. Same with games. A little authenticity would be appreciated. Same goes for any accent. Were a sophisticated crowd today. This aint nintendo.

Summary: This is one of my favorites
Review: I've played and finished all three games in this series. Several times! The story line and puzzles keep you in suspense with good action too! I would love to see another entry in this series. I would have liked to see a more exciting cinematic on game completion but I thought the rest where really good. The puzzles are challenging and the sword fighting is excellent. The graphics are very good.

One of the great things about the first two games in this series was that the character's motion was much more natural and realistic than anything else on the market at that time. This game might be a drop below others of its time in the graphics and motion department but the graphics are still very good. To complain about the graphics is like complaining about a new Ford because there is a BMW available on the market. A Ford might not match a BMW but it's still a great car!

I've noticed that some people have complained about controlling the prince. My advice, use the number pad on your keyboard and you shouldn't have a problem. With a little practice you should not have a problem. If the camera angle is in a bad place, use the Enter key on your number pad to get a good look around (see the game instructions).

If the game seems slow or choppy, lower the resolution and gamma. Play this game in a dark room so you can keep the gamma pretty low.

The gore level (or lack of) was something that disappointed me a bit. When a wall blade killed the prince in POP2 you would see blood on the blade and the wall. The only blood you see in this game is in some of the background scenery and it's not much. High gore just means that the head is actually separated from the body if the prince walks through a blade. In low gore the head stays attached. There is no blood at all. I don't really call that gore. I don't play games just to see gore though so that doesn't reduce my overall opinion of the game.

One more note, there IS enough time in the last stage to finish. You just have to know how to use your weapons! By the time you get there you should have had enough practice for that. You cannot save in the middle of that level. If you don't make it you have to start that level over. I've done it more than once though so it has to be possible!

In short, great game! Highly recommended!

Summary: Good game but...
Review: Over all the game is good but there are some technical problems with the game. First - When I am playing the game, it just stops and it will return to windows, I need to restart the game which takes lot of time. Second - There was one place in the game where an object does not behave as it should (to be precise - a rock like thing that goes up and down on which prince jumps). For that I need to restart the game which is frustrating. Also it took me lot of time to figure it out. Third - Loading of the game is also very very slow. Fourth - When the price reaches the final combat (I think this has limited time) quick save does not work properply. When time expires, a cinematic is shown and main menu displays - at that point of time I could not able to figure out whether the game is over or still some thing is there. As the quick save was not working here properly, loading the game is time consuming which is not appreciated. -And finally $50 is too much for it.

Summary: Prince of Persia 3D: A Pauper among games
Review: Prince of Persia 3D is a game I had been loking forward to. I used to play the old Prince of Persia games, and they were pretty good. But this one was terribly dissappointing. The gameplay was awkward, the Prince was hard to control, and it was so uninteresting. The most entertaining part of the game is the opening sequence and the dancer with the sword(the reason it gets one star)! I was quite dissappointed with the way a good, old-fashioned 2D game was ruined by being put in 3D
