Summary: Challenging and Addictive
Review: After complaints from my 11 and 15 year old girls that this game was too hard, I decided to try, Stay Tuned for Danger, to see if I could help them advance. I ended up purchasing the Official Solutions Guide for this game because STFD is extremely difficult, even for an adult! If you are an adult who has lots of spare time to spend on an addictive computer game, then don't hesitate to buy this game! Although the graphics and details are mesmerizing, children around the ages of mine will probably get frustrated and give up if they are left to solve it on their own.

Summary: The Best Nancy Drew Software Yet!!!
Review: As an avid Nancy Drew fan, I was a little suprised to see that the CD-Rom games are just as puzzling as her mysteries. Nancy is on the case trying to find out who is sending mysterious death threats to a famous TV star Rick Arlen. Along the way, you, as Nancy must solve many puzzles such as 3 riddles to enter the prop room and secret passwords to enter different rooms. The game is very exciting and full of suprises. And its all set behind the backdrop of New York City. The thing I liked most about this game was how you could travel to different places in New York, such as your friend Mattie's apartment, the TV studio and others. I have solved all the Nancy Drew CD-Rom games out so far and I would say this is the best!! I would recommend this game to anyone who loves Nancy Drew.

Summary: This Game is Great!
Review: I don't play video games, but I am a huge Nancy Drew fan and couldn't resist trying one. This game is a total blast. I love it. I'm 42 years old and a novice at video games, so I''m behind the times, but any Nancy Drew fan will find this game addictive. I guess 10 year old kids are way ahead of me. I found it kind of difficult (on the master level), but like I said I'm behind the times.

The game is full of clues and will keep you thinking after you exit the game for days (or hours) depending on how long you can stay away. I highly recommend it. I have already ordered the other two Nancy Drew games on the market. I can't wait until they come out with another one!

Summary: A 32 Year Old Mom with Detective Fantasies
Review: Ok, this is the second Nancy Drew game I have bought. The first one I bought is also the latest one, Mystery in a Haunted Mansion. I must say that I am enjoying this more. I started out with Jr. Detective on the new one, which I found challenging, and felt I was ready for Master Detective on this one. It never ceases to entertain me. It's so much fun, and great since it is based on "reality"...i.e., these things could actually happen, and it's like an average woman doing the sleuthing, just like the books, which were great, and that I still love! You really feel like the little detective with your "clue book" you get with it to write down all the pertinent information you find along the way....sometimes you get stumped, just like in real life, but, alas,...if you go to the mfgr.'s website, ... , and do the "games chat" feature, you can chat with other players and pick up some INCREDIBLY valuable tips to "help" you along the way! More features I enjoyed on this were the hysterically funny character "idiosyncrasies", like the things Rick Arlen says or some of the other little things and items you see along the way, which crack me up. And you can always "call" your friends to get help from them in the game also...I am too addicted to speak. I am buying the "first" game after I finish this one and cannot wait until a new one comes out...my only complaint?? They aren't making new ones fast enough!

Summary: Once you...
Review: I was playing this game a few months ago, and I got stuck. I kept trying to get past a certain point, but I never could...then I thought of something and the whole game was done in about two hours! "Stay Tuned for Danger" was a wonderful game. I can offer two hints about the game to the people who are now playing it: #1. Just because it may kill you at first, doesn't mean you can't stop it. and #2. Click on everything in everyone room&Listen to your friends...just don't listen to their thoughts about who the guilt being is. I hope you have as much of a MARVELOUS time as I did.

Summary: Sleuthing isn't easy, but it sure is fun!
Review: This is the second game in the Nancy Drew software series that I've tried (I've also played "Message In a Haunted Mansion"), and this was by far the more difficult of the two. In this game, Nancy is staying with a soap star, Mattie, whose on-screen co-star, Rick, has been receiving death threats. It's up to Nancy to find out who is behind them. The game requires not only patience but a smart mind; you have to remember things and write down clues, solve puzzles, and plan things accordingly. Although I enjoyed playing it, it was frustrating at times, and one time, I spent several hours thinking I was stuck, because I had not noticed the arrival of an important new object. (Boy did I feel silly when I finally noticed it!) This game will take you many hours to complete. For fans of the older Nancy Drew books, there's an added bonus -- the games feature objects from the books (look for the clock from "The Secret of the Old Clock", with the crescent on the top!) and other little fun things like that. I want to offer two hints that I think will be helpful: #1, pay attention to the chair in Mattie's house, near the phone. #2, explore all rooms **thoroughly**. You will pick up many objects during this game, and all will either be important, or finding them will just advance the game. You may need to explore rooms two or three times to find everything. Also, if after you've installed this game (or Message In A Haunted Mansion), you get an error message that the game can not locate a Direct Draw Surface, and you KNOW your computer meets all the system requirements, make sure your hardware acceleration is set to FULL. If you're using Windows 98 you can do this by going to your Control Panel, clicking on "Display", then clicking on the "Settings" tab, then clicking the "Advanced..." button, then clicking the "Performance" tab, and pushing the bar all the way up to "Full." Then you'll need to restart you computer. This solved the problem for me. Hope this helps! All in all, this is a very fun game for teenage girls and young women (and hey, guys too!), great for friends and family members to play together, and just an all-in-all wonderful game. I hope Dreamcatcher and HER Interactive make more of these!

Summary: Very Exciting Game!
Review: My 11-yr old daughter and I really enjoyed playing this game. We spent hours working on it, sometimes until way past bedtime! It is difficult at times to move ahead and find new clues, but if you keep plugging you will succeed.

The graphics and music are great and add to the suspense.

We highly recommend this game!

Summary: If Nancy were a Robot....
Review: When I first heard of the Nancy Drew game, I thought it would be another rinky dink attempt of the book industry to make money on the computer rage.

However, I was pleasantly surprised when I first played the game. The graphics are very nice. The game engine is smooth running on a faster computer (Pent 2 or 3 level). The 3D engine is also done very well.

The colors of the scenery are exceptional and the attention to detail is a delight.

There are a few things that annoy me- Nancy's voice is a little grating. I get used to it, but it somehow seems a little off to me. Not worth ruining the game though.

Another thing is that the characters all look like those little mannequins that you use in art class -those wooden people that you draw from.

I find it hard to really get involved with people that look like wooden dolls. The way they splice the characters into photographs looks really hokey to me.

However, that all said, I still enjoyed the game immensely. The puzzles are challenging, but not impossible. The music is well matched to the game. The atmosphere is more like the older Nancy Drew books that I prefer to the newer ones. It is very comforting to be in the game- kind of like living in the Nancy Drew book.

You have to go from Day to Night to find some clues- very original and entertaining.

Worth the price and very welcome in the PC game market where everything is so barbaric now. I highly recommend it!
