Rating: Summary: Very Cool Review: Fun if you want to do an American Girl play, but don't know how to write it. It's fun to direct stuff, and you can put in a microphone to do voices. At least you can in AG Premeire 2. This is fun! I got mine a few years ago; I still like it.
Rating: Summary: Much better than expected! Review: I purchased this game when I was eight years old, and even then I was skeptical of how good this game could be. I assumed limited speech and set possibilities, but I was proved wrong. Today I am fifteen, and I have to admit I still can enjoy this game. There are infinite storyline possibilities, and even though the computer generated voices are not realistic, they are ammusing. I have spent many hours thinking and creating plot lines that range from the normal to the bizarre. There really is no limit in how you're play will turn out. The one problem I have with this game is that sometimes the it skips over dialouge, but that is rare. All in all this is a fun and easy to use game, and I would recomend it from the ages 6 to 12.
Rating: Summary: It was a pretty good software. Review: My title is a reference to the voice engine in this game. You know those computer generated voices paraplegics use? It sounds exactly like that. I'm not kidding. And that's the default male voice. Oh granted, you can change the tone, the volume, even the way the voice sounds, but in the end you're still stuck with something from the Special Olympics. They're pronounciation of certain words is odd, like all the g's are pronounced with a "ja" sound, like a j. My younger sister, being goofy, wrote the word "booger" and it read it as "boojer." You remember that restaurant scene in "Mickey Blue Eyes?" Hugh Grant must have been inspired by this game. For fun I wrote down all the lines from that scene...you wouldn't believe how much it sounded exactly like it.
Because of this, you can't take this seriously. My American Girl plays usually involved the girls being possessed by Martians and taking over the other characters. Or, in my personal favorite, Uncle Gardy Ward trying to ruin Samantha's school play, and laughing all the way.
It was an interesting concept, but things perhaps could have been done more. It's got some bugs that could have been fixed and some serious loading and saving issues, but all in all I guess its what you might expect. I played around with it just to have horrible things happen to all the girls, but ultimately it gets boring and replay value dies. Like I said, an interesting concept, but the delivery becomes poor.
Rating: Summary: American Girls Premiere Review: The American Girls Premiere had bad graphics and was not very exciting. The voices to choose from for your play were unrealistic.A small child would be very frustrated with this game because some of the instructions are unclear.Older children would probably enjoy this game, though.
Rating: Summary: Okay game Review: This game isn't that hard to master, but it's best to watch the help movies before you decide to try and write a play yourself. It's hard to navigate the characters and the voices are very unrealistic (experiment with the different kinds you can have- if you have a lot of characters it's easier to understand who's talking). This is a good game for kids who like to write, and it helps because you have visual aids.
