Summary: This is not intuitive and is not like our school version.
Review: The Deluxe 3rd edition of Kid Pix is not like the Kid Pix version we have at my children's school. It is not intuitive and in fact when we sat down to type some sentences for a report, we "lost" our page and had to retype them and on the second try, we "lost" them again and got some kind of error. I would like to sell this version and get the standard version.

Summary: I great art program with more then just paint!...
Review: This game is great! But be carful your parents might just send you to bed early so thay can play it! It's that good!
I wasn't sure about this because I thout it woudn't have the wacky brush in Kid Pix Studio Deluxe becase it wasn't studio, this is better because you have a wacky brush and a lot of other cool stuff! There is a cool thing that you can paint with your voice!... It has rich colors just like in expert art programs yet it's easy a nough for a 9 year old and as I heard a 3 and 4 year old! Every tool makes sounds and every tool moves! This game isn't just for kids! DO NOT Beleve that there are no File Help or Edit like one person said, all you do is move the mouse to the top of the screen and your cursor will turn into a arow, click the mouse button and thay all will pop up! Move the mouse away and thay will disappear

Summary: 2nd graders love kid pix 3
Review: We have been using Kid Pix Studio Deluxe in our school for over 3 years. I bought this new version to try out with my class and they thought it was great. They all wanted to try out the new features, which they thought enhanced the program even more. I will definitely use this use version with my class in the fall. I use it to get my students interested in learning computer skills and to have fun at the same time. I gave it a four because I had to really spend time learning the new setup ,because it is so different. One big plus,I don't have to set the video settings at 256 colors.

Summary: Disappointing- not as kid friendly as Disney Magic Artist
Review: We just got Kid Pix 3 as an upgrade from the original Disney Magic Artist, and frankly, the kids and I are all disappointed. The program is poorly documented. There is no clear way to bring back saved pictures to work on them after the original session. My children are familiar with the program from school, but they agree that it doesn't come close to matching the capabilities of the Disney program. The only advantage this program has over the original Disney Magic Artist is the availability of animated stickers, and if you buy the most recent of the Disney versions, you'll get animated stickers there as well. As long as your children don't mind having Mickey and friends appearing in their art studio, I suggest you go for Magic Artist. It pains me to spend so much of my entertainment budget with the Disney folks- they almost seem to monopolize my kid's life outside of school- but you can't argue with the excellence of their products. In the meantime, I and many other parents are waiting for someone other than Disney to come out with an excellent art studio for children.

Summary: Excellant for Creativity and Plenty of Helpful Ideas
Review: ~I wrote this review for the original Kid Pix, but it applies equally well to the Kid Pix Deluxe
***** Kid Pix is definitely the number one Software item on any list for kids age 3-13. I rank it high on the shopping list for Adults, too! This software is incredibly flexible and allows for artistic creativity, while still providing enough structure, for very young kids.
~
***** The Software is very very easy to use. Emma and Ben were absolutely professional at this program at age 3. In fact Emma had to warn me when I wasn't saving a picture correctly.
The program allows for freestyle drawing, but also has so many additional touches that make it exciting to the kids. Naturally, he first thing they go for is the "stamps"- little pre-designed artworks of objects commonly used in pictures: teddy bear, cake, especially the ones that work as animations.
~
***** The flexibility of this software makes it astonishingly easy to personalize and expand on: at age 4, Amanda was "editing" the "stamp" of the teddy bear to make it look more like *her* "sugar bear".
~
***** This program only gets better, if you add more software from the same company- we got "The Amazing Writing Machine" and were able to import all of the stamps from that program into the studio.
~
***** You can also open any photograph in a JPEG or GIF or BMP format, and spice it up with the Kid Pix Studio.
~
*****If I could only have one piece of software on my computer- it would be a difficult choice between my Netscape browser, and this Kid Pix Studio.
If this review form allowed it, I'd give it 9 stars *********! ...
