Summary: Somewhat Disappointing
Review: Graphics are an improvement over the previous Hasbro version of Monopoly, but the special features are annoying. Seriously, how many times do you want to hear "Mr. Monopoly" exclaim, "Eighter from Decateur!" or "Show me the money, Sack!"? Not to mention the annoying animated tokens or the dizzying 3D "camera work." Trades are confusing, and the computer opponents play the game like crazed lunatics. Wait until one gets a monopoly and starts building houses. The turn will take forever, as the elated opponent gleefully mortages everything in sight in a frantic attempt to add another building. I've had two versions of Monopoly for the computer and have been disappointed with both. On the other hand, a $20.00 Super Nintendo cartridge of the game generated hours of fun. The graphics were simpler and the options were fewer, but maybe that's why I enjoyed it.

Summary: REALLY GREAT
Review: I agree with all the other review, I would have liked to seen the orginal PC version, to see the actual propertys. My bug was that the opening sequence seemed to run in ultra slow motion; I called Hasbro on this and they gave me a bunch of gobbledy-gook, too. If this happens to you, hit the spacebar or escape key until you get to the main menu. Then you'll be OK and enjoy. About the game play, it is really good translation from the original. For the modern PC/Cd rom; a great improvement from the DOS version I had for my IBM P/S2 Model 25 AT/XT (720 kb)

Summary: Even Better Then The Original
Review: I bought the updated version of Monopoly about a month ago and I've been impressed with the new features that the sofeware comes with. Not only can you choose different cities, but you can add your own photos, rename the different properties, and add or subtract how much you get each time you pass go. I highly recommend this game. It is worth the money that you will spend to get it.

Review: I guess I should not have expected the computer version of Monopoly to be any more exciting than the board game. It is, after all, Monopoly! But at least in the board game, you are moving more muscles than your index finger! I played this game at a relative's house, and I am very glad I did so. I now know not to buy it. Not only is it very slow, but also it is very hard to see. I needed a magnifying glass to view some of the graphics. I do suggest this game for chronic insomniacs--within thirty minutes, you will be out like a light!!!

Summary: Like the game, but..
Review: I happen to like playing Monopoly. But when you play this game against the computer opponents, you are in for a strange ride. The computer opponents will mortgage all their properties to fund a monopoly they may have just gotten. Then it would take forever for the computer player to buy houses and hotels.
The computer players hardly ever trade among themselves. After playing the game a few times, I got to where I knew how the computer would react.
I also found that I enjoyed playing the game a lot more when I turned off the token voices and Mr Monopoly's commentary.
Still, this game is a good way to knock off a couple of hours. The rules are pretty basic, and straightforward.
Overall, I would recommend getting this game, as long as you're not expecting too much.

Summary: Very fun but could be better
Review: I love this game. My only suggestion is that the houses and hotels should look like houses and hotels instead just like the game board tokens. The properties run the spectrum from landfill to high end real estate so it'd be more fun to see a realistic building(s)that corresponds to the property. Even better would be several building styles from which to choose.

Review: IF YOU THOUGHT THE FIRST MONOPOLY WAS GOOD, WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE THIS! I WAS AMAZED BY THE GRAPHICS AND ANIMATION THAT WAS PUT INTO THIS GAME. NOT ONLY CAN YOU PLAY THE CLASSIC GAME, BUT THE 10 CITY VERSIONS ARE ALSO INCLUDED. BELIEVE ME, IT IS WORTH THE MONEY YOU PAY FOR IT. CREATING YOUR OWN PROPERTIES IS ALSO ONE OF THE MANY GREAT FEATURES THIS GAME ALSO HAS.

Summary: Monopoly Two - Should I bother?
Review: Is the new version of Monopoly worth it? In a word, Yes! Though I do miss the animations that were in the original Monopoly, this version not only has the new player pieces, but comes with 10 different city boards and allows you to make your own as well! The interface is user friendly and I would recommend this to any board game fan.
