Summary: Defective
Review: Beware of purchasing if you have an iMac - the software DOES NOT function properly. We have now purchased two copies, at two separate stores (including Amazon), with the same result. When signing in, the game does not properly recognize the letters to spell your child's name. When you click on " M ", it states "S" - when you click on "A", it states "F". My daughters name ended up being spelled SFMMT. (Her name is Maddy) Then, when clicking, the software takens 2-3 minutes to move from one screen to another, and last but not least, shuts down without warning. This product needs to be recalled, not purchased. STAY AWAY!

Summary: Great Fun with Dora
Review: My 2 year old just loves Dora so this was a BIG hit. She absolutely loves playing the games. Easy enough so that she can play by herself or with me. Lots of fun. Very educational. Wonderful graphics, easy to install runs great on my Win XP computer. Highly recommend.

Summary: Great Fun
Review: My 28 month old loved it from the start. The graphics are wonderful just like on TV. Easy to install and ran great on my computer. I highly recommend it.

Summary: A little disappointed
Review: My son is 3 1/2 and loves Dora, but this game was way too easy for him. Don't believe the 3-5 yr age range. The games are pretty repetitive and not very challenging. There's really not that much more to it than what you can get for free from the nickjr.com website.

This would probably be better suited for a younger child with a shorter attention span. My son does play it, but we usually whip through all the games pretty quickly and he loses interest.

Summary: Too easy for computer saavy 2 yr old!
Review: I bought this game because my 2 yr old loves Dora, thinking she
would grow into it but she fooled me.She easily mastered level
one and two.It is a good game, holds her attention but not for any
long amounts of time.I gave it an average rating because levels
could be a little more challenging.

Summary: Not too bad..
Review: My daughter, who is 3, really liked this game but she was quick to master it and got bored. It was very entertaining while it lasted though and she was able to do it independently and so I able to rush around and get some things done around the house while she was occupied. I give it three stars (I consider that average) because while she did enjoy it when she played it, she only played it a few times before she was no longer interested and so I don't feel as though I got my money's worth. The Jump Start games are clearly a better value.

Summary: too boring for my 3 yr old
Review: My 3yr old son loves the Dora tv show, but quickly grew tired of this game. He finished his adventure within 20 minutes. The 3 difficulty levels are virtually the same and the activities are limited. The Reader Rabbit games offer a lot more fun for the money. This software is a waste.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: More advanced than the age rages given, still good product.
Review: This game was too advanced for my very computer-experienced daughter who is almost 4.

It is a great learning game, but definitely not appropriate in the age ranges given. A 5 or 6 year old would appreciate this much better.

Summary: Is a Fine Game
Review: This is a fine game. I do not think it is as educational as it is billed. However, beyond that, it is a cute game and follows the traditional Dora method... You have a problem and you look at the map and use the things in the back pack to reach the final destination and collect the final item you need.

It is my opinion that there are better software games that are educational available. I would probably buy some of the Freddie Fish games and JumpStart games before I would buy this game.

I rated it a low three stars (or possibly a high two stars) for several reasons: 1- My son quickly grew bored with this game and stopped playing it after only a few weeks. 2- The voice of Dora is annoying and 3- I don't find Dora educational, and this software is the same- it's not very educational. It doesn't really teach Spanish although Dora will use Spanish once in a while. It doesn't really teach problem solving since the backpack and map and characters Dora runs across pretty much tell her what she needs to do and how.

Enjoy.

Summary: Gameplay is OK - but Dora's voice is annoying beyond belief
Review: My 4-year-old has this game - and she likes it OK, even though this is not her favorite game by far. Actually, there is one main reason I gave this game just two stars - the voice and speakig manner of Dora, the main character is so annoyingly whiny and affected, it embodies everything I hate about the way certain people (typically female) are speaking. This unnatural, annoying voice grates on the nerves so much that I'm seriously considering removing the game from the computer so that my daughter won't speak the same way.
