Summary: not a good buy
Review: this program is the one of thr worst I have bought! i bought it for my son who is almost 3 because in the box it is written for 2-4 year olds . If your kid hasn't mastered his mouse skills yet it is impossible for him to do it by himself. Another dissapontment was the final birthday party. We worked so hard with him to get there. and guess what ... pooh has mixed things up and it wasn't eeore's birthday afterall ( so no candles no cake )but any day spent with friends is a party!!!! my son was crieing and begging me to put a cake and candles there! It was total dissapointment. I also didn't like that piglets pictures had to be colored how piglet wanted them to be. (this was the only thing he could do without my help but the colors were different so I had to change them to the "proper" ones to be able to paint the next picture) kanga's alphabet soup was fun - we liked it a lot. tigers music machine was also lots of fun Owls house little boring-my son showed no interest. In my opinion this software shouldn't be suggested to the kids under 4 because, firstly it is almost impossible for them to do it by themselves, neither they understand the joke how pooh mixes up the bithday party. Would never have bought it if I had known this.

Summary: Great Game For My 3 1/2 Year Old
Review: This was a great game for my 3 1/2 year old with a lot of replay value. The game teaches a variety of skills in interesting and fun ways.

The only minor complaint that I have is that once you complete the game, even though you can still revisit all of Pooh's friends and play the challenges, you are no longer able to go back to the birthday party (well, you can go back to the place where the party was held, but no one's there).

Summary: Not for beginners!!
Review: We borrowed this CD from the library and my almost 4 year old just loves it. It is very hard to keep her busy, but she will sit and play with this for long periods of time. We especially like Kanga's alphabet soup game, Rabbit's canning game and coloring with Piglet. I like that there are 3 levels of difficulty, so the software will grow with her. I think part of why she likes it is because she is "helping" her Hundred Acre Wood friends. This software is a little bit advanced for the suggested age range. I think a child needs to have a basic grasp on numbers, letters, colors, etc. in order to enjoy this CD. It also is alot more fun for them if they can do the mouse themselves. If you are looking for software to start teaching letters, numbers, pointing & clicking, etc. I would suggest the Jump Start series or Dr. Seuss'ABC's living book. I understand that the point of the game is supposed to be Eeyore's birthday party - we have never gotten to that point and is doesn't make a difference. My daughter and I just like playing the individual games.

Summary: A great CD game for kids to cut their teeth on
Review: Who doesn't love Pooh bear? Every kid I know does, and this Pooh software is a great game for kids to get themselves ready for preschool and kindergarten. Pooh visits Piglet, Kanga and Roo, Tiger, Owl, and Rabbit at their homes, as well as takes a nap at his. Each place has an assignment for your child (e.g. at Piglet's, you have to look at a picture Piglet painted and color it exactly the same way; at Kanga's, you help her and Roo make alphabet soup by adding the specific letters they ask for, etc.). Each assignment has 3 levels of difficulty, so as your child progresses, you can make the game a bit more chllanging for them. My kids are 3 and 2, and using this game has already helped them manuever the computer mouse and use their powers of discernment to make correct decisions. Each child can enter his/her name and has a chart to monitor their progress (which is fun to print out and put on the fridge). Brilliant!
