Summary: A good game with a few flaws
Review: I purchased this game about 3 or 2 months ago. I must admit, it is very fun but it is very short. It took me about an hour to defeat both of the episodes. Another flaw was the cut-scenes, which are entertaining but the characters don't look right. Spongebob's cheeks are way too low and other things like that.
I would recommend playing this game first before buying it to see if you like it.

Summary: "It stinks!"
Review: I should have known when there was no age rating given on the box that this game wouldn't exactly have a committment to quality. I'll ignore the big pixel graphics, which are not even on par with a typical child's game, and the fact that the voice of SpongeBob sounds nothing like it does on TV, and focus on the gameplay, which is stunningly unimpressive. I bought this game for my six-year-old son from somewhere other than Amazon, and paid a ridiculous price for it. In return, here is what I got: exactly two playable areas when the game starts, as all of the other areas are locked. That's right, you have to attain a certain level on the first two games to even get a peek at the other areas. My son never did progress past the first two areas before he lost interest in the game. I'm sure it's no great loss, since there are only five areas, and the two areas he did get to play were simple arcade-style games that only held his interest for a little while. In one, you move your cursor around the screen to catch hamburger ingredients as they move around, and in the other game you have to manuever a boat around an obstacle course. Not bad games, really, but not worth the money I paid for them, especially when my son never got to see any of the other areas of the game before giving up.

The one and only nice thing I can think to say about this game is that playing the arcade games might be helpful in developing eye-hand coordination in some children. Children might also enjoy the brief cartoon clips inserted throughout the game. Overall, though, in the words of my six-year-old son, "It stinks!"

Summary: Great game for younger kids
Review: If your kids (like mine) are getting to an age where they've outgrown all there Elmo and Teletubbies CD-Rom games, "Operation Krabby Patty" is a good step up.

There are 2 "sides" to this game (think A side, B side). Plankton is up to his old (and predictable) tricks again, trying to steal all the ingredients for a Krabby Patty. Your first mission is to use the "Robot Krabs" to retrieve patty items, avoiding jelly fish (they reduce your time allotment)and ants (-10 points). After you'v completed three levels, you move onto the next game. Each level must be completed before moving on to the next; help Spongebob pass his driving test to receive his boating license, catch jellyfish with Sandy and SB, ride the fishing lures to collect cheese with Patrick, and help Mr. Krabs by shooting would-be thieving pirates with bubbles in "Save Me Money!". Then, the "B" side offers the same games, it just switches aroung the characters playing it. With each level you complete, you can watch a little "movie"- that is, a 3 minute cartoon about Plankton's plot.

I've read other people's comments that this CD ruined their computer system, but ours was fine. The only complaint I have is that certain visuals that appeared for the first 5-6 games no longer show up now, which makes no sense. Also, if you have a joystick connected to your PC, remove it before playing OKP. When ours was plugged in, the spatula pointer kept floating to the top and was impossible to control. After we removed the joystick, it was fine. Fun game for younger kids, perhaps not challenging enough for teens.

Summary: Nickelodeon Software = Not Great
Review: Seeing pictures of this Spongebob game attracted me into buying it for 15 bucks, while at the same time, wasting those same 15 bucks. It's called "False Advertising".

The actual gameplay became boring after a while, as the games were very repitous. Three rounds of the same thing: Drive an almost undrivable boat through a winding track, reloading Jellyfish Nets many times beyond reality, and collecting Krabby Patty ingredients from ants, and how do they even carry the stuff? It might be slightly fun the first time, but it gets boring VERY fast.

The game in general is too short, and has the same stuff. I enjoy a game that doesn't take me 10 minutes to complete, AND doesn't include two or more variations of the same "activity"

The cutscenes aren't all that great. They are PACKED with jokes that seem like they've been thought up in 10 seconds. In addition, the creators also packed the game with old catchphrases from Season 1 of the TV Series. The most annoying part is that these catchphrases are repeated sometimes.

My biggest complaint is the characters themselves.
Some of the characters don't look right, some of the characters' voices are messed up, and some characters don't even act similar to their behavior in the TV series. Mr. Krabs and Gary serve as the biggest example. Gary's "meow" is way off, and the space between his eyes is too large. Mr. Krabs' eyes are too thin, and his voice isn't to my favorite. Squidward's head is too big, especially the nose. Plankton's skin is too bright. The narrator, doesn't sound right at all.

In the Video section, the "Episodes" are just all the video clips rolled into one. That means the bubble transition, and there's no extras. The gameplay is half the story, right there! Without replays of the actual games, the "episode" doesn't make sense.

For a young kid, this might be a laugh. It does produce hand-eye coordination, and it does relate to the TV show.

All in all, in my opinion, the creators didn't even take the time to watch at least a few episodes of the show. The game would've been WAY better that way. It's either that, or the entire game was hurried up, which NO game creator should EVER do, but of course, Nickelodeon does that with ALL their games. This game would've been much better if it was animated with pencil instead of with 3D models, because the models are horrid. If you want a REAL Spongebob game, it's not gonna be on the PC/CD-ROM Drive platform, or any gaming console.

Summary: This Game Is Worth The MONEY$$$$$$$$
Review: This game is soooooo cool. You have to beat levels that you have to collect krabby patty ingredients. In "Invasion Of The Patty Snachers" you get buns, patties, onions and pickles to make krabby patties. In "Boating School 101" you run into checkpoints before time runs out. In "Who cut the cheese" you ride the lures and collect the cheese before Patrick or Sponge Bob reaches the surface. In "Hide 'n go jelly fishin" you catch jellyfish so you can get jellyfish jelly. There are 3 or 4 more levels I have not yet unlocked. The game is definately worth the money and a lot of fun!!!!

Review: This game is the best! I play it a lot. Some of the games are a challenge but they're not too hard. I love Spongebob and this game is uniquely SB. All the main characters are featured and the mini movies are adorable. Definitely a must!

Summary: A kid's review
Review: This game is very funny and fun. The cut-scenes make us laugh all the time. It takes some time to learn how to win each game, but it's very fun to play while you learn. Me and my 5-year-old brother love this game. (As dictated to Daddy)
