Summary: way too easy.
Review: Don't get me wrong though, I like this game. But even the hard level is child's play. However, this game is designed for kids 5-10. I like it, but it is too easy. My best game so far was 132-12. I think that even a 5 year old wouldn't have a problem kicking everyone's butt in this game. Its fun, and anyone who likes the other Backyard games (hockey, soccer, football, baseball) will like this one.

Pros:
- Very simple controls
- Not hard for little kids
- No offensive content (it is, however, targeted to younger persons)

Cons:
- Way too easy for older gamers (e.g. 9-12)
- Gets stale and repetative after awhile

Altogether this is a good game, but if you are over age 9, this one will be way too easy and you shouldn't get it. Otherwise, you will like this one. It's fun, just too easy, which is why the younger audience will like it.

Summary: 140-2? That's Not Right!
Review: Don't get me wrong, this game is pretty fun. At first. When you get used to the controls(that'll take 1 minute), the game loses interest. Why? You can't lose. I don't think I've ever seen a basketball game that has ended 140 to 2. If there has been, I know one team that's pitiful. You can draft the worst players and still win by 100 points.

The game starts by picking your team and making your coach name. Then, you can pick through an average amount of players for your team. It doesn't matter what their stats are. You'll still be undefeaten after the season. Then, you play the game. Why is this game so easy? But, the only thing keeping you from a 200-0 game is the fouls. They call an unbelievable amount of fouls. Can you move without getting a penalty?

But, after you turn the fouls off, it's not fun. But, it's not fun with fouls, either. That's a problem. If this game was harder, you'd have a great game. But, it's not hard, so it's not fun. It's fun to have KG on your team scoring dunks from half-court. You can substitute when a quarter gets over, but if you do it, the commentary doesn't pick a Player of the Game. That's a good thing about the game. Who will get the Player of the Game? The best player doesn't get the prize, though? It's usually the amateur player that scores 2 points.

Oh, well. There's NBA Street for a good power-uppy not real basketball game. There's NBA Jam for big-headed weirdos playing basketball. And, you can't abandon the NBA Live series for good ol' regular basketball. I'll give Backyard Basketball an average 3 out of 5.

Summary: The Best Computer Game Ever
Review: Everybody should buy my favorite game. There is Kevin Garnett and Lisa Leslie. The old players are awesome too. The teams are great. My only complaint is the game can be slow at times. You can make your own team and change them around whenever you want. I LOVE IT!

Summary: Fun game, easy to play
Review: Fun game that was easy to get started with, but increasing levels of complexity keep it interesting. My kid loves it!

Summary: Going to be great!
Review: I am writing this review before it came out but I still think it is going to be a good computer game. I want to buy this game because I like basketball and maybe it will improve my skills. I think so because I have Backyard Soccer and it sort of improved my soccer skills. If you're a basketball lover like me I think you should get this game. I hope this review was helpful to you.

Summary: Backyard Basketball
Review: I bought this for my 10-year old nephew Ryan and he loves it. The first time he played it for 4 hours non-stop, I had to beg him to get away from the computer to eat. I also recommend Backyard Soccer and Backyard Football, he also likes those alot.

Summary: Backyard Software
Review: I don't have the Backyard Basketball yet, but my 5 year old son has the soccer, baseball and football versions. He loves them and they weren't difficult for him to figure out. The software allows him to add more difficulty to the way he plays it as he gets older and understands more about the way real sports games are played. It keeps him entertained and thinking for a long time, which is a good sign in children's software.

Summary: not a good software
Review: I enjoy the backyard series, but backyard basketball is disappointing. It dosen't include enough pro players, the power-ups are terrible, and the season is too long.

Summary: Backyard Basketball
Review: I have purchased the previous Backyard sports software, FOR THE MACINTOSH. I would be happy to purchase more than one copy of newer versions if they were also available for the Mac. Why the change??? Even the Backyard Foodball, which we had purchased previously, is now available only for the PC. If available for both PC and Windows (especially for OS 9.x) it would be very helpful. I would, at this time, be purchasing copies for both the PC and the Mac for grandchildren, for Christmas - at this time, I can't.
