Summary: Very "magical".
Review: I would not reccomend this product to anyone unless their children already know the subject matter. The "reading" cd-rom is nothing more than an "adventure" where the explorers go on a treasure hunt basically. The games that have to be played to move on, are not Teaching anything. It expects the child to already know how to do it! This was filled with "magic", "sorcery" and not the kind of "game" a Christian child should need to be playing. I was VERY dissapointed in this set, coming from a name like Jumpstart. I plan on returning it SOON!

Summary: Satisfactory.
Review: It's a decent product, although not as interesting or amazing as other learning-type software out there for this age group. The math and reading levels do not seem to be in sync with each other, but it's easy enough to go to the level that best fits your child. If you are an educated, progressive, and open-minded parent, the "magical" stuff won't bother you a bit.

Summary: this wasnt what i expected
Review: my daughter is in 2nd grade, and after completing several things she became bored and just says its too hard.. i was really disappointed in this one.. she did like the explorers part, but as far as the math and reading.. it just wasnt fun enought to want to LEARN on lol.. maybe when she's older I hope.. not sure......

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: decent, for a six year old
Review: This product will work quite well with XP or 2000. My daughter especially likes the explorer part. She has learned some things about ancient Egypt from this, and it seems to be getting her interested in other cultures. She is just now starting to get into the math CD, and it's a little hard for her, but she's catching on. Overall, it was a well-spent $19. It will work with Farstone's virtual CD, for those that are tired of saying "don't touch the shiny part" and washing CDs.
