Summary: This is the best Creatures-game, I think!
Review: 1.Download the breeds and objects you find the most interesting from the net(like, the Life kits are now free!)
2.Hatch few norns, and teach them to speak
3.Explore the world with them, but be careful about going to the volcano, it has some radiation :o
4.The grendels are not really evil in this game, they hardly hit norns and are quite peaceful, but still, there's need to watch out
5.Breed your norns, and get interesting crossbreeds!
6.And so on...this game is the best ever! I RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: A Huge Disappointment
Review: At the risk of large numbers of Creatures fans mobbing me at my bus, I have to say that I didn't like this game at all. I was a minor Creatures 1 fan, and I rushed out and bought Creatures 2 the first day it was available. Yes, I risked looking like a dork among dorks in the computer store's kiddie section (obviously the game was mislabeled), but I got it anyway. What a mistake.

The first thing I noticed wrong was that it was hard. You might think, "Well, great! I can't wait to try it!" No, it's not a good kind of hard. It's really **really** hard. If you're not a biologist, don't expect to give your Creatures injections that will actually do what you want to do (well, unless you **want** to kill your Creatures...) And, unless you're an animal trainer, don't expect to be able to get your Creatures to be able to talk, to come to you, or even to marginally like you.

Second problem: ugly Creatures. The last game, they were cute. Now, they look like little monsters from a B-rated movie. Ouch.

Third and final problem: just not the way you'd want to spend your Saturday. You get enough of it from your coworkers and kids; do you REALLY want to deal with it on your computer?

Summary: Really Interesting and fun: By 12 year old New Yorker
Review: I just started playing this game and I already like it a lot! My friend showed me how to use it. It is definitly a time consuming game but it is still very fun. The only thing I have trouble with is navigation around the whole terrarium but I'm still just starting so that is why I give this wonderful game 5 stars! I love this game! So buy it, buy it, buy it!

Summary: cute creatures and fun education
Review: I tried this at a friend's house and ordered mine from eBay (sorry Amazon, but THEY ship to Canada!) and it's a GREAT game! The norns are kind of hard to train ("freddy hungry, run grendel"... what?!?!) It's hard to make them eat, sleep, get away from the grendels, not drown... but it's a challenge. Also if you have little kids they should try Creatures Adventures. It's creatures for young children and it's also cute although I never tried it. This game is pretty old so it is at bargain prices now. Have fun! :-)

Summary: Somewhat disappointed to start with
Review: I was a huge fan of the original Creatures, so, of course, I bought Creatures 2 right away. I was a little disappointed to begin with. The world (Albia) itself is quite lovely, and there were many new things to look at, but my Norns seemed absolutely bent on drowning themselves, or going on hunger strikes where they'd complain about being hungry but would refuse to eat. As you can imagine, I found this frustrating. I didn't like not having all the tools available to me, and I had a great deal of trouble getting my Norns to activate the tool 'power-ups' even when they found them. Then the Internet came to my rescue. I downloaded many interesting objects that made the game easier and more fun for me, including one that gives you all the tools without all the hassle. Then I downloaded Norns that were smarter and better behaved than the ones I originally hatched. After that, I found the game to be quite satisfactory. I think a lot depends on how you view this game: it is quite wonderful as a complex virtual world with it's own ecology and rules into which you extend your influence (sort of like a wildlife preserve), but if you are like me and see your Norns more as pets, you might want to check out what is available on the web to make Norn care easier, otherwise this might be a little too frustrating.

Summary: Let's See
Review: I was having fun with the injector items at first, but then I had a problem on my hands. I couldn't get any of the kits! There is a place near the incubator room (that's where you hatch your eggs) where there is a token about as big as the average norn spinning around with the symbol of the science on it. What do I do with that? I never did find out. Now I'll give you tips on things I found frustrating. First, to get an egg you have to go to the hatchery and double click on the egg you want. The egg will pop up in the incubator room. Then you can hatch it with the incubator. One day I started up the game and my norns (and every other creature) was stuck head first into the ground. I don't know what happend! I hope it doesn't happen to you!

Summary: Very Addictive
Review: I've had the game for about one and a a half years now and it's still as fun to play now as it was then. What makes it so fun is that you can always get new creatures breeds off from the internet, you can also get new types of plants, animals, food, and other things that will help your creatures world from the internet. By breeding different types of norns you can get some really neat colorful looking norns. I highly reccommend getting this game.
