Summary: ESSENTIAL!!
Review: Typing has become a basic lifeskill that everyone needs to function in this world. This game makes it fun and easy. My son begs to play it and competes against his own score. This program will accelerate your child in language arts. He types 13 words a minute which is ok for a 7 year old who HATES to write.

Summary: I think this is great
Review: I haven't used this software yet, but I think it's great that there is something for young kids to start learning foreign languages. I know that when I tried to learn Spanish, I was already in the 7th grade.

Summary: A great product to teach your children to read
Review: I bought this product after my neighbor's daughter taught HERSELF to read just by playing this game. It has lots of fun activities and is easy for kids to figure out. My son may not learn to read as quickly as our neighbor but he'll sure have fun trying.

Summary: A Wonderful Product
Review: My toddler loves this product. There are games to teach him shapes, colors, letters, numbers, and even drawing. Each game has 2 levels. He loved the shape game and mastered it rather quickly. It was nice to have a 'level 2' option so he wouldn't get bored. It's easy for a child to navigate. The game allows the child to just let the mouse hover over what they want OR when they figure out how to click on things, the game will respond as well. It's hard to find things that keep my son's attention but this is a winner whether he's playing by himself or with one of his parents.

Summary: almost worthless
Review: I am so disappointed by this product that I am considering returning it to the company for a refund. The three discs are little more than extended video games with a smattering of academic challenges-- in fact, the second disc is ALL video games except for a short game through which the child earns tickets by answering simple questions. The tickets are then "spent" on meaningless video games, like using arrow keys to maneuver a robot over waves. Lots of learning, right? I really expected more, and since I paid full price for this nonsense ([money]) I am even more bothered that I now own this. The best, or least bad game is the first disc, but even this vaccilates between drivel and strangely impossible games that have no intellectual merit whatsoever. Like clicking on an animated globe that supposedly shows the zodiac but is so small it might as well be a tennis ball covered with white dots. No child could possibly learn to identify the night sky through that-- anyway, I could go on and on, but be forewarned and don't buy this unless you can get it practically for free.

Summary: Looks good.
Review: I personally think this game is good for kids to practice; not too hard to play. Well, actually, two (crab and space shooting) of their three sub-games seem to be very hard to play if you select to difficult mode. Crocodile game seems to be fun.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Not the best I've ever seen
Review: This package has three sub games. Only one sub-game seems to be practical and useful (hard mode seems chanllenging). Others are too difficult to play (not math work but movement control); pinball is ridiculous.
Overall it's not so bad at all.

Summary: Great for a 4 Year Old!
Review: My son is 4 and he gets very bored with some games (ie Dora). This game has so many facets to it that it keeps him VERY occupied, and he really enjoys being able to customize things like stories. I wouldn't suggest it for a younger child, unless they are very proficient on the computer. Yeah for being Mac compatible!!

Summary: ¿Wow that was off. Way off.¿
Review: My 2 1/2 year old daughter has been using Disney's Preschool software for about a month without a problem. After two session on this software she found the activities to be too easy, the only difficultly being mouse speed. She has asked to go back to Pooh.

The games are not intuitive and there is a lot of verbal instruction. There are also several logic flaws, such as arranging items for a picture and then the picture taken has nothing to do with the arrangement. In the phonics section, if you select the wrong letter the character actually says, "Wow, that was off. Way off."

I think the whole reward system is too complicated and takes you away from doing the activities. Disney has the same issue, just less so. Software makers should focus on fun educational activities and not on long story lines or rewards.
