Summary: Good Educational Software
Review: Great software! Travel through the Revolution side by side with reporters James and Sarah. Once you think you have gathered enough quotes, come back to the print shop and print your story. Then, depending on how good your story is, you get a certain number of subscriptions. (ex.:600, 550, 500, etc.) But beware! Some parts are harder than others.

Sometimes, to be able to interview people, you have to run around town trying to find stuff for them. (ex.: a bayonet, a jackknife, a loaf of bread, a quill pen, a map, a telescope, etc.)

This is a great game, very fun. Now I know more about the Revolution than practically everyone in my class. The only downside is that when you have played the ENTIRE SEVEN LEVELS OF THE GAME five times, it gets a little boring. If a friend has it, ask to borrow it. If you find yourself playing over and over and telling your friend "No, I don't have it, I'm still playin'" or "Be patient, would ya?" , then it's time to put it in your ... shopping cart and GET IT, QUICK!!!

Summary: My daughter loves this PBS show!
Review: However, at her early stage of reading (she's six), she cannot complete all the objectives needed to play this game. I think the ages of 8-10 would be correct due to this issue. This game is about discovering answers to historical events and compiling the information and sketches for a newspaper. There is a lot of historical information, and it requires some sleuth skills. I would highly recommend for those who like mystery and history!

Summary: Liberty's Kids Rocks
Review: I am a 5th grader and my sister is a 7th grader. We worked on this game for days and days. It teaches you a lot and it's fun. It's so much fun, my sister and I stayed up till 11 p.m. to try and finish the first round. I would suggest getting this game if you're not doing well in history. It's a fun way to catch up on the Revolutionary War.

Summary: My 4-year-old loves it
Review: I bought this for my 4-year-old because she loves the series. The game consists of a journalism assignment where the main characters visit the site of the event, pick up clues along the way, and conduct interviews with witnesses. I love the fair presentation and how the interviews reflect people with different points of view. Despite its design for older children, my 4-year-old can handle searching for clues and conducting the interviews by herself as the interviews are read aloud (and seems to help reinforce some of her early reading skills). I have to help her with the editing stage as it requires reading, but we enjoy discussing the topic together at the same time. I am impressed with how much my 4-year-old has learned and enjoyed the program.

Summary: American history
Review: I enjoy the PBS series, and this game would likewise be a fun addition to any elementary school class on American history.

Summary: Really cool game!
Review: I never get bored of playing, because it changes every time. I love to hear interesting commentary and arguements between James and Sarah as you journey from scene to scene. It gives a very balanced view of the Revolution, because one's British and the other is American. I've watched the show, and they both have held my interest. It's good for anyone!

Summary: I loved it!
Review: I watch the show and I loved the CD-Rom! It never gets boring for me, because one time I got the same item for a guy that I got in the last game and he didn't need it, he needed something else! It is also really good because you can get how both British and Patriots felt about what was going on. It was so much fun!

Summary: OK game
Review: I wouldn't say that this was the best game ever. I got bored kinda fast after the 2nd round. All u have to do is interview people, find items for them, and get to put together all of ur information to make a newspaper. I reccomend sumin' interesting and fun like Nancy Drew: Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake. This helps you to interview people while finding things and trying to solve a case.
