Rating: Summary: Grandchildren Pleaser Review: I have Freddi Fish 3 (Case of the Stolen Conch Shell) and this one they're my children's (6 and 4) favorites! We have LOTS of games, but these have so much to click on, little games inside, and elements that change every time, making the game different. We got this one last September and they still ask to play it almost every other day! (The same goes for the one we've had for 2 years also!) Everything by Humongous Entertainment is fabulous! They put a lot of work into these games so they would never get boring. The extra game in "The Creature of Coral Cove" is a variation of Battleship! Lots of great one-liners and a Clown Fish with the dry Stephen Wright type humor (all squeaky clean, of course). Heck, I'm 28 and I like to play it too! (shhh...) This is one of the best things I could have spent my $ on for my kids. I don't have to clean it up off the floor, it's not in the toy closet a week later! Plus they're learning valuable reasoning and deduction skills! Excellent Game!

Rating: Summary: What an Adventure Review: I purchased Freddi Fish 5 for my 4.5 year old son. He is very proficient with other adventure games - Putt Putt Saves the Zoo and Clifford Thinking Games, as two examples. This game is MUCH more complex and difficult - it's not impossible, but it is extremely time consuming and can be frustrating. The primary issue I have with the game is there are 40 or more locations within the game that the child must navigate to find and manipulate objects and characters. Unlike some other games, the locations aren't built in a simple hub and spoke configuration. There are locations that branch into yet more branches and there is no electronic map the child can access to jump quickly between far off locations. Going without a map certainly helps the child to develop a sense of direction and memory, but can be tiresome, as a wrong turn can take a while to correct. All in all, the game is great - but I'm over 30 and relatively intelligent and found solving the puzzle somewhat challenging. This is best left to a slightly older child who does not get frustrated quickly and is able to concentrate for longer periods.
Rating: Summary: Pretty Hard for 4 Year Olds Review: I purchased this game based on the many glowing recommendations read here on this website. It is a great game - but I raise issue with the age recommendation of 4-7. My 4 year old cannot play this game on her own - but we have alot of fun playing it together. There are alot of rooms to navigate and she sometimes gets frustrated if we are spinning our wheels - so I will figure out a few steps ahead of where she and I stop so that the next time we play things can move along at a good pace. I guarantee my 9 and 11 year old niece and nephew would find this game engaging and challenging. It's definitely a well designed game - something the whole family can play!

Rating: Summary: Grandchildren Pleaser Review: I was completely amazed at how well my grandchildren (ages, 3, 4 and 5) could navigate around this game. When they come visit, they immediately head for the computer and ask for Freddie Fish. It really challenges their minds and makes them concentrate on finding all the items. Recommend this game for anyone with small children. Guarantee they will have hours of fun.
Rating: Summary: Great game for young kids Review: My four-year-old son's favorite games over the past year, by far, are the Freddi Fish ones. They are challenging, change a bit every time but maintain enough consistency to be easy to navigate, and are lots of fun. The later games (#4 and up?)have a "save" feature, which is awesome. Highly recommend!

Rating: Summary: very cute game. Review: This game is perfect for a 4 year old. It will keep them entertained for months. Not too hard but hard enough to make kids think and challenge the mind.
Rating: Summary: What Fun. Review: This is a great CD. Grandma Grouper's seeds are missing. This is horrible. Freddi Fish and Luther rush to the rescue. The game encourages children to solve problems, think creatively, develop memory skills and on top of all of that, it's fun to play. My son is 4 and he really enjoys this game. He started trying to play it at age 3 but it was a bit too hard. Now he can do it mostly independent of help. One of many positives is that each time you solve the game, when you restart the game, it's a whole new set of problems and puzzles to solve. My only suggestion would be that you seriously consider getting some of the later Freddi Fish games rather than the earlier games. I suggest this mainly because the newer games are better with more puzzles than this one. Enjoy.
