Summary: Fisher Price: Little People Discovery Games 3 Disk Compilati
Review: Only the 1st disc works if you have Windows XP,even though the box states it works with XP.
My 3 year old daughter was very disappointed after seeing the box.

Summary: Great for little ones
Review: Basically the only "new" part of this compilation was the Airport which is also available alone. My son just turned 4 and these CD's bored him to tears. The Farm CD is so old I assumed this "new" farm game was upgraded...nope...
Also, while these say they run in Windows XP...you are going to get a crappy display unless you run the Farm in compatiable to Win 98 mode with 256 resolution. VERY dissapponted in these disks...

Summary: GREAT - for starters
Review: I bought this game for my 2 1/2 yer old. She absolutely loves it. All of the games are easy to follow. She is learning to use the mouse, but the best part is that she can push any key on the keyboard and it works just as well. She will sit there for hours if I would let her playing this game. She likes the farm the best but occasionally she plays with the airport the pre-school disc is still alittle old for her, but she likes watching me click around and play the games with her.
A must have for all toddlers starting out on the computer.

Summary: Great Toddler Computer Game
Review: I can't say enough good things about this 3 little people disk set. My 3 year old twin boys loved Reader Rabbit Toddler but could not handle many other computer games because they were not able to control the mouse well. The little people Ready for School Toddler CD was so un-intimidating and encouraging. The kids could just push keys on the computer for the animal parade game and other activities would continue even if they were not able to point and click. They felt comfortable and found it so interesting that both twins actually taught themselves how to point, click, and drag with the mouse well using this CD because they weren't frustrated. They love playing all three CDs in the pack. They love feeding the animals, making music, and playing the memory game on the farm CD. Right now their favorite CD is the airport CD. They love building the plane with Michael and printing out a copy of the plane they made. This 3 CD pack is such a great value and has given my children hours of fun. It is educational and has taught them to feel more confident on the computer. If you love Reader Rabbit and are having trouble finding other starter type games for your kids, try this one.

Summary: Great for little ones
Review: I have a barely 2 year old and a 4.5 year old.

Ready for School Toddler: With the exception of the rational (as opposed to rote) counting skills and letter recognition, the content of these games is elementary even for my 2 year old. The advantage is that she can focus on learning to use the mouse in a way that will provide her with a lot of encouragement because she knows the answers. The two remaining sections will continue to offer her some educational value when she's more comfortable at the computer. There are two difficulty levels for each activity.

Discovery Airport: Though the activities are somewhat elementary for him, my 4.5 year old loves to play this game because of the theme. The advantage of this game is that there are three difficulty levels, which make it educationally suitable for 2.5 to 4 year olds.

Discovery Farm. Like the Airport game, content is better for 2 - 4 year olds.

All in all a great set for younger children.

Summary: great first cd rom for your boy or girl
Review: I really can't say enough good things about this computer program. The one problem is that you have to find things to do while they are doing this game all by themselves. Imagine that you can actually get stuff done. My son has watched me on the computer since day one. I finally decided to get him his own game. I figured I would be stuck sitting with him at the computer. this is not the case. He just turned three and he asked," can I tr?". Well that was it. He can move the mouse and to do games on the cd he know to ask me to change to another cd. the activities can grow with him in difficulty. He actually played the airport game for an hour. He changed between the different activites himself. They are very kid friendly. Also the giggles that come from the computer room are worth it alone. He really seems to enjoy it and he is learning while he is laughing. I stongly suggest this cd rom. I plan to purchase it for all my nieces and nephews for the holidays. Enjoy!!

Summary: Great games
Review: My children love playing on the computer. I like to buy fun but educational games. These games meet that criteria. My little ones play the Jumpstart series, Reader Rabbit games, one of the Blues Clues series, and Edmark games. I had trouble finding quality games outside of the names mentioned above in the past. Jumpstart have been their favorite and in my opinion, the highest quality. Well, Fisher Price has teamed up with the producers of Jumpstart and produced this. It shows. My kids just love this! This morning my youngest one woke up and the first thing he asked was if I could put the "farm game" on for him. He ran to the computer. I have to put the timer on and have them take turns. While one plays, the other interacts from the side but doesn't get to operate the mouse. They are getting a lot out of this game - there are different levels for each stage so my 2 year old and 4 year old are each learning and having fun. I have time to get things done and delight in knowing that they aren't sitting in front of the tv or a video game. They love it so much I have to tell them it's time to get off the computer so they can get their outside time and other play time in!

Summary: DISAPPOINTING, LIMITED SUPPORT ON XP
Review: Of the titles, only the airport title works well. The farm title cannot size up higher than 640 and functions poorly. Mouse overs and clicks have high latency. The School title is just weak. It also suffers from screen fragments under XP.

Summary: CD Doesn't work!
Review: The Discovery Airport Cd has refused to work...it insists I need to install a newer version of Quicktime yet if I try to do that the system says I have the latest version of Quicktime available and there does not seem to be any Quicktime on the CD to install. My daughter LOVES the other 2 in the pack and am sure she would enjoy this-if it worked........
ANY IDEAS????
