Summary: Getting worse with time
Review: ExpensAble is a product that seems to get worse over time. Version 2 did a great job of preparing professional-looking expense reports and easy-to-use analyses at tax time. It downloaded to Quicken with ease, and you could customize the templates to put in "Client" instead of "Customer", or "Consultant" instead of "Employee". Version 4.1 still works pretty well, but you can't customize the expense reports any more. Version 5 never worked for me, and I stayed with 4.1. Version 6.0 was just released with major bugs using PDF formats for expense reports with extraneous thumbnail and signature pages. Version 5? Well, that's now obsolete. You can't even get the company to download it.

Best option: Download V4.1 off the company's web site and wait until they get another workable version.

Summary: Unusable Product
Review: I am in the process of returning this product to Amazon.

The product came with no hardcopy documentation and the Help file on the CD is totally useless.

These are big issues since the product is anything but intuitive.

This is without question the worst software product that I have ever purchased.

Summary: Huge time saver vs. paper or Exel or anything else!
Review: I have been a user of ExpensAble for years. I typically travel coast to coast with my laptop. On the flight home I boot up ExpensAble at 30,000 feet, get out my receipts, and before the movie starts I have a finished professional looking expense report that is seldom questioned and usually reimbursed faster than my colleagues who are still in the dinosaur age using a spreadsheet for cheap substitutes. This Quicken-like product has super easy to use features such as drop down autofill like lists that remember your last trip--so if you go to the same cities, hotels, cabs or airlines it minimizes re-entry. I've heard they have an internet version for larger companies too. Try it. For under ...you can't go wrong. I paid for it the first time I used it. Hey, if I can use it without documentation so can you :-)

Summary: ExpensAble took the headache out of reporting my expenses.
Review: I'm amazed how ExpensAble took the headache out of reporting my expenses of my last business trip. With its expense entry Genies, it provided a sure-fire way getting all the expenses recorded - even the easy to forget costs like tips and toll fares. I would definitley recommend this to anyone who wants a quick and easy tool for recording and submitting their expenses.
