Quicken ExpenseAble 98 is more than a program to help you fill out your expense account: it also helps organize your trip, and allows you to check online for airfare reservations, currency exchange rates, frequent-flyer mileage balances, weather forecasts, and maps. It contains a Trip Genie, a Hotel Genie, and a Foreign Currency Genie to make sure that you file a complete and accurate expense report. The Trip Genie assists the corporate traveler in accounting for all expenses, and has a custom field for any out-of-the-ordinary expenses that might occur on your trip. The Hotel Genie automatically will itemize your hotel bill. The Foreign Currency Genie remembers the exchange rate that you set up for expenses, and applies it to expenses in your report. Import guest lists for entertainment expenses from your favorite contact-manager database.There are over 30 formatted report forms. Your company's form also can be provided, for a fee. The data are organized in envelopes that you create and label for each trip. You then can enter the information directly, or download credit card transactions directly to an expense envelope. ExpenseAble 98 will sort and total the expenses for you; it contains support for scanned receipts using the industry-standard TWAIN interface. For faster approval and reimbursement, you can e-mail or post your expense reports directly to your company's Web site. The data can be exported in ASCII file format or Microsoft Excel format, and can be exported also to Quicken or QuickBooks. The connection to QuickBooks can be set up to match your company's accounting codes (version 5.0 or higher).
