Summary: Most bang for your buck
Review: PC-Cillin installed easily for me and went to work right away. Scheduling tasks and performing manual scans - EASY! Trend Micro is on the ball with frequent updates that are painless to get through the automatic update feature. When you have a virus you can clean it out right away or click on the virus name to learn more about it. I'm glad that I didn't go the McCaffe or Norton path, because the cheapest route worked best here!

Summary: PC-cillin 2003
Review: Program works good and pattern file updates are frequent, but don't get PC-cillin 2003 if you have more than one computer and/or operating systems. You not only have to have a seperate license for each computer, if you multiboot any of your computers, you'll have to by a license for each OS you want to use the program on. I am a "single user" with a desktop and notebook. Between the two, I multiboot with 5 Windows OS's. You do the math and then decide if you want to use PC-cillin.

Summary: Be aware of the lack of support
Review: The software was working great until I could not update or delete found viruses. I had few problems installing the software on my new computer. I contacted live support few times and they would rather communicate by e-mails. I found their support department lacking the knowledge and patience. I still can not install the software. Be aware of the limited hours for live support.

Summary: Good Product - Works well.
Review: This has kept my PC clean and free!!! It's caught several virus's coming in EMAIL attachments. Real-Time scan is quick and doesn't interfere with with ongoing work. I did have trouble when TREND Micro changed their scan engine at one point - they never notified me and I was unable to get pattern file updates until I went through a small procedure. It was no big deal but they should have notified me that they wer changing things. Also, the personal firewall stopped working (crashed) on NT 4.0.After disabling it, the system was back to normal. Overall, I think Trend Micro puts out a good product - better than all other other choices out there.

Summary: Read this if you're a former Norton user
Review: This is a great program, but it will not load properly if you previously used Norton Anti-Virus or Internet Security. The normal uninstall process will not remove all Symantec files from your computer (this has been a serious problem with Symantec from the beginning). In the case of Norton Anti-Virus and Norton Internet Security, the remaining files will conflict with Trend Micro's products. To remove them, go to Symantec's website and download a file named "RnisUPG.exe". Run it, and it will remove the offending files. PC-cillin 2003 combines anti-virus protection with a firewall. Trend Micro has recently upgraded it by adding anti-spam and spyware protection and renamed it PC-cillin Internet Security 2004. Same price.

Support, evidently is in the Philippines, so you write an email wait a day or two and get told one of two answers: clean all previous versions (even if one was never installed), check for viruses using their website. Since every email is answered by someone different, even though you do these two things you get one of these two answers back.

Review: This program is terrific. Works seamlessly. However, Amazon didn't include the all important PROOF-OF-PURCHASE seal in it's packaging. As such, I was rejected for the rebate until I called Trend-Micro. After finally talking with a very polite supervisor, he issued the rebate with no question.

Review: Very stable, has yet to cause a system crash unlike the others.
Also it is very good at what it is supposed to do.
