Rating: Summary: Cruzer Mini Rocks!! Review: my cruiser just went through a full wash cycle, followed by 30 minutes in the dryer.i plugged it in and it works! no kidding.
Rating: Summary: Cruzer is a doozer! Review: Nothing spectacular - just good, reliable performance in a surprisingly small package! If you need to transport or backup large files (such as audio or graphic files), this will do the job that a floppy disk can't handle. More convenient than burning a CD, assuming you have a CD burner. Installs INSTANTLY on PC's running Windows XP. Needs an easily downloaded driver to work with Windows 98. Oh yeah, you (obviously) must have a USB port, but if your computer doesn't, you need a new computer more than you need this flash drive.
Rating: Summary: Worked Out of the Box For Me Review: Opened the box, put it into my Win2K laptop, installed in couple of minutes and started to show up as a removable drive. No formatting, nothing extra to install and no it does not get stuck in the usb port or has to be pulled out by pliers. People are complaining about lack of or detail of instructions provided, all you have to do is put it in the usb port nothing more or less.
Rating: Summary: A Great USB Flash Drive Review: Sandisk has produced a wonderful product with its 128mb mini cruzer. Simply plug it into your USB port and it's ready to go - with windows XP there is no software needed. My laptop recognized the device immediately and it could be accessed through XP's "My Computer" as external drive F:. It was as easy as kiss my hand to store text, music, or photo files to it,to retrieve them and to erase them when desired. The device itself is about a dime's width and 3 dime's length. The body is a smart looking metallic polished silver and when it's plugged in, the back of it lights up green so you know that it is working properly. Comes with 3 different colored caps to protect the USB connection and a neck/wrist strap for convenient carrying. Easy to use. Fast and efficient as a USB Flash Drive. A well priced wonderful product from Sandisk. I bought one for myself and two as Christmas gifts.
Rating: Summary: lost it!!! Review: Since the size is small enough, you can put it on a USB port without an extension cable. One problem is that I lost mine today. The only thing left around my neck was the lanyard included in the package. Keep yours in a pocket. I'm thinking about buying the same one.
Rating: Summary: Good, But Easy to Lose Review: Small, quick, and powerful. But easy to lose. I lost mine this past week.
Rating: Summary: Great USB jump drive Review: The cruzer mini isn't actually the smallest jump drive I've seen (I actually have a meritline.com one that's about the same size minus the light) but definately the sturdiest and is actually truely driverless. The slim design, is, of course, very conveient since USB ports usually come in pairs, and bulkier drives basically require 2 usb ports since they block up the adjacent one. The first usb drive I bought was also advertised as driverless, but in actuality, the computer has to install the drivers on the spot, but that can cause problems if you're using a public computer and can't add new hardware. The cruzer worked seamlessly. I guess my only real complaint is that the lanyard is attached on the side of the drive (right next to the light) and that it's pretty hard to attach the lanyard. Oh, and it's too easy to lose!
Rating: Summary: Best thing since the wheel... Review: These little drives are just amazing! No computer user should be without one of these...or a few if need be. I use this to back up Quickbooks files and it is lightning fast...unbelievable and very much appreciated! You can carry this in your pocket, around your neck or in your sock if the data is top-secret. Worth its' weight in gold!
Rating: Summary: nothing fancy - just simple and easy to use Review: This is a great product, just plug it in and you're ready to go. Compatible with all machines (automatically detected by XP, simple driver installation with 98) and is a much easier way to carry data around than burning CD's or expensive zip disks. It does feel a little fragile but mostly because it weighs almost nothing. The back end lights up when plugged in and flashes when transferring data. One nice thing about this particular stick is that you can snap the cap on the back end of the stick so you don't misplace it when plugged into the computer. It comes with a lanyard to go around your neck but that seems a little silly to me and I just carry it in my pocket. Data transfer is extremely fast with usb 2.0, a 5 MB file only takes a couple seconds to transfer. The sandisk cruzer is also very skinny and unlike some of the larger ones only requires you to have one usb port open. For example, I can have the sandisk in one port on my laptop and an external mouse plugged in the port immediately below it. I've never had a different brand but several look like they would block two usb ports while only actually using one.
Rating: Summary: One of the best flash drives out there Review: This is my 3rd flash drive (I also have a 64 MB MicroAdvantage and a 128 MB Kingston), and it is by far the smallest one. It literally is the size of your thumb. I also love the fact that you can attach the cap to the back when it is plugged into the USB port; (the back also shines a cool green light when in use). It does appear to be very fast, but I haven't timed how long it takes to make transfers. It's sleek, stylish, small, and fast. I highly recommend this flash drive by Sandisk. The two extra caps and a neck cord are a nice bonus.
