Summary: Drive works great, but watch out for the rebate problems
Review: I've had this USB drive for a couple of months now, works like a champ. With the rebate, this drive is very competitive with lesser brand products.However, Lexar is refusing to give me my rebate. Their reason: The UPC code was not included (which it was). Of course, now I have no way in disputing this as I sent the original in with the rebate form. Repeated emails with the rebate company and Lexar have led nowhere, so I will never buy another of their products again. Buyers beware......

Summary: Tiny storage
Review: Good basic, transportable storage that has done everything I've asked. It is even small enough to be plugged into parallel USB ports beside other USB devices, including a second USB drive. When the maximum storage on flash memory gets to 10 G or greater, I can see these displacing hard drives as the major storage medium for all computers. The Lexar may have a slightly more primitive "operating system" than some competing USB memory, because it sometimes seems to fill with tens of MB space left, but no more space in its directory for file and folder names. However, you'll not even notice this if you don't put more than 250 files on your 128 MB JumpDrive. On the other hand, the layout and design are great: it is TINY and looks like a beautiful prop escaped from a sci-fi movie. The Lexar is very pleasing to use physically, because it will fit directly into the USB ports of almost any computer, being both thin and narrow at the plug. It is light and so inconspicuous in your pocket that you have to pat yourself down to find it. At its price (and with a rebate), you just can't lose if transportable storage works for you. *****OK, I've now received the rebate and am still as happy as before with the function of my JumpDrive. Best computer accessory in years!

Summary: Nice Drive
Review: I have used this drive for about a year. It's great for transfering files from a Mac to a PC. You get 120MB of usable memory. It did just fail me, but I sent it in for repairs and got it back in 5 days. It will take longer to transfer and delete a whole bunch of small files (like jpegs) than large files. Overall, I have found this a very useful device.

Summary: Great Technology, Poor Design.
Review: I've had this little keychain device since it came out. Overall I'm satisfied. I think it was worth the six dollars I ended up paying after rebates.
The Bad:
The key ring design isn't very durable. The unit is sealed in two locking pieces of plastic, split down the middle. The part that comprises the key ring is very frail and is actually just two thin pieces of plastic that run next to each other. Needless to say, it broke within the first month.
The clip on the cap broke within the first week.
If your laptop (HP/Compaq?) has an access panel over your USB ports and the ports are vertical, good luck on getting this unit seated properly.
The unit isn't 128MB. That is the raw amount of space; it is formatted to a slightly lower capacity.
The Good:
After falling off my key chain, the drive sometimes gets left in the pants and gets put though a cycle in the wash. I've found it at the bottom of the tub three times and the data is still error free. The USB connector isn't rusted either.

Summary: practical, portable, purple
Review: How much better can it get? This little gizmo holds the equivalent of nearly 100 floppy disks, but it is SO much more convenient to carry around. Plug it into your USB port and copy files to your heart's content.

Summary: Works with Linux!
Review: This drive is excellent for storing MP3s, photos, word processing documents, or anything you would conceivably want to store. What is more, this device will operate on the 2.4 Linux kernel found in such distributions as Lycoris Desktop LX!
While the package states this device is supported in only MacOS and Windows, it does in fact read AND write in the Linux environment!

Summary: Why Pay More - It Works!
Review: As far as I can tell, the Impact 128MB Flash drive is identical to the Lexar unit. With a Windows XP system, you just plug it in and it's recoginized as a system drive (drive G: in my case). Just drag and drop files, wait for the data-write light to stop blinking, and you're done! Just remember to use the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon on the lower right of your desktop before removing. Far quicker and more convenient than writing to a floppy, CD, or Zip.

Summary: Great option... but there are better choices now
Review:
This is a great USB card. I've been using it for six months now -really hard use- and have had no problem so far. Every computer I've plugged it into -running 2000 or XP- has worked perfectly and had no compatibility problems.
The only thing is right now you can get much better options for about the same price. USB 2.0 is much faster, and 256MB can be bought for a couple more dollars.
Bottom line: very nice product. Great quality, compatibility and durability. But, now there are better choices out there.

Summary: Small, Cheap, Cross-compatible Drive
Review: What else is there to say, really? It has worked with over 12 different computers that I've plugged it into, and is automatically recognized by Windows XP, 2000, and a recent version of Mac OS (not sure which exactly). One thing to be aware of, if you find someone using ME or 98SE, then you'll need to download drivers, since the native 98 era drivers don't fully recognize the device. I've never had a problem with this drive, and I've been carrying/using it for over a year. Some have commented negatively on its durability, but they seem to have forgotten that this is a plastic coated circuit board; it will get beaten up just like anything non-metal if it lives in your pocket, right next to your quarters and keys. It does have a lock switch on the side to protect your data, but I've never had to use it, and the "drag and drop" interface is literally just like using a floppy disk. A 128MB floppy disk.

The Lexar JumpDrive USB Flash Drive is a very small storage device that plugs into your computer's USB port and stores 128 MG (megabytes) of data! (Most computers have a USB port, it looks like a very small slot with neither the small protruding pins nor the little holes as in other "ports" on your computer. A port is a place to which you connect "peripherals" such as a a printer, for example)
You can download directly to the USB port (on my office computer, this is found in the "My Computer" icon under "F Drive"), transfer from the USB port to your hard drive, or carry it from home computer to office computer. This last function is what I've found most useful. If I write something at work, or download pictures, etc., I can transfer the information to the Lexar, take it home, and transfer to my home computer (of course, it works from home tranferred to office computer as well). It works with either a PC or a MAC, and can also transfer between these two.
The jumpdrive is a stand-alone product, you don't need to install cables or download drivers to get it working, which is a real benefit when you're not even sure what a driver is!
The transfers are very fast, and a light blinks to let you know when it is finished. I've never lost any data using this product. There is also a write protect switch which will prevent accidental erasure of data, but I haven't been able to locate this. The 128MB (megabyte) JumpDrive can hold as much data as about 90 floppy disks (great for backup when you don't have a zip drive, and much more portable than a zip drive). The 128MB stores twice as much information, and the 32MB one half as much. Current Amazon.com prices (subject to change of course) for the Lexar are as follows:

With this sale, you get twice the storage for the same money. The 128MB is excellent for all kinds of media storage(digital photographers should appreciate this).
Lexar claims you can attach this with your keys, but some users report that they are uneasy with the prospect of damaging or losing the Jumpflash. There's also a top with a ballpoint-pen like clip--if you've ever lost a pen, you may also lose the Lexar Jumpdrive as well. The clip does not dit that snugly anyway. I suggest transporting it in a briefcase, a purse, a wallet, or whatever you feel safest with.
