Summary: Piece of Cake!
Review: Hey, what can you NOT like about this little fella...ok so you have to go to their website to download the driver for W98, which is no big deal there. Mine works perfectly and is just as fast as any media card, which is what I have used previously. The Jumpdrive is compact, portable, and certainly seems to be sturdy enough. Plus, you sure can't beat the price for this one!

Pros: Compact, Fast, Portable
Cons: None

Summary: Read if you have a USB hub
Review: It doesn't work when plugged into a USB hub on my Dell Dimension 4100 running Wiondows XP SP1. It is recognized as a USB Mass Storage Device, not as a Disk Drive. It works OK when plugged directly into a USB port, but that's an annoying inconvenience since they are all in the back of my machine. Two attempts to contact Lexar Tech Support, one by phone and one by their online system, were unsuccessful.

Summary: Mac Users --> Beware
Review: For Mac users, this product may not be ideal.

It will not work from the keyboard USB port on many that I tried Macs .

Theyr were all G4's running OSX 10.2.6.

This means that I must crawl around to the back of my machines and plug in back there. Or find a powered USB port that works with the device.

The techs at Lexar seemed very aware of this issue when I used their online support.

The seemed, at first, defensive. Later they were more reasonable.

The package was misleading to me. I was led to believe that this is a fully compatable product. Especially since Lexar's Multi-Card Reader does work on all of my Macs' USB ports.

Yuk. This is supposed to be a convenience product! I should not have to crawl on my hands and knees to use it.

Summary: Price + Performance = Great Value!
Review: I've had a 64MB USB 1.1 drive from another company for a few weeks and really love it, but when I saw the price on this drive, I couldn't pass it up. I've used it on my USB 2.0-compliant system with these results: moving 200MB of files, writes in <50 sec., reads in <15 sec! Very quick! Excellent performance. Excellent value.

As I've not had the device for long, I cannot comment on its durability.

Summary: Great small electronic
Review: I bought this gadget with some doubts, but just as my cell phone and PDA, it became a must carry for every day. I can have lots of files with me, and forget about disks. You have to try it to convince yourself. It is a great gift.

Summary: Great Drive But Has Design Flaw
Review: We got these for all our team at work. Great drive...perfect for carrying a PowerPoint presentation to a meeting! We bought six total, four of which have the same problem, the loop on the top (to attach to key ring or badge) breaks. Now we have these great drives that we keep misplacing. Mine sits in my desk drawer at home....so I'm shopping for another design.

Summary: Fast and Easy on XP
Review: Just got this. Reading the one review , I was afraid it might be a dog, so quickly gave it a try. Transferred a 66mb file in about 18 seconds. That's pretty close to the 200mb in less than 50 seconds, give or take a few megabytes or seconds. Once I had transferred the files, I simply pulled it out. With XP, I have not found I need to shut down the little hardware icon in systray. To verify everything was ok, I put it back in and the files were there. Very nice little device - how well the plastic holds up might be the only concern.

Summary: Failed after 2 weeks
Review: This is the second pen drive (the first from a different manufacturer) that has failed on me after a few weeks of use. I don't think I'm trying to do anything special with it - I'll be in the middle of trying to copy some files to the drive, when suddenly Windows stops recognizing it, and I'm no longer able to access the drive on any computer. Maybe my bad luck, but so far this technology seems iffy to rely on it for critical work-related stuff.

Summary: Easy to Use - Goodbye Floppy Disks
Review: Very easy to use. Simple. No hassle. Just plug it in. 256MB of convenient, lightening-fast storage ready to use on any USB equiped computer. Liked it so much we just bought two more JumpDrivePros. Would consider the 1GB model if it were not so darned pricey...

Summary: Best thing that I've bought from Amazon
Review: I bought this 2 months ago and have had no problems from it. It is also very tough. I left it in my pocket and my wife washed my jeans with it in there. After letting it dry out for 2 days (just to make sure) when I plugged it in not only did it work but all my data was there like nothing had happened.

I was thinking about buying a 750MB USB ZIP drive but now I'm really glad that I got this first. I can buy 3 of these for the price of one of those, and I can use this on any computer.

It loads the driver automatically on newer OS, but if it doesn't load automatically it's really easy and quick to go to the lexar site and download the driver for it, then all you have to do is plug and go.
