Rating: Summary: Seagate drive upgrade Review: Keep in mind that this is a Serial ATA drive (new interface style). Make sure your board supports SATA. The older boards are all Parallel ATA or just ATA. With that said, I have had the drives (I am running 2 of these) for 3 months and had no problems with them. They are quite and run cool. Since I have two of these drives, it was kinda tricky setting one of them up for the boot drive. Make sure you read up on this if installing 2 SATA HDDs. I hope they outlast my maxtor drives which started failing after 2 years of use.
Rating: Summary: Easy Install Review: This is a smooth running Hard Drive(HD) this is also incredibly easy to install. I have use this not only on an IBM formatted computer (Sony Vaio Desktop with Windows XP Pro.) but also on a Mac. G4 (with OS 9.2 upgraded to OS X Panther) and in both computers this drive is very stable. This was a heaven sent to upgrade both computers and no tech."specialist" is needed because the directions are cut and dry (they include pictures) and saves money on hiring someone to upgrade your computer. This drive is a must have for anyone with a computer with a small HD or just running out of space on your HD.
