Rating: Summary: Big Drive small price Review: A good solid piece of equipment. Installed with little fuss. although the jumper settings were very picky. Their new installation software was great allowing me to copy a smaller partition to a larger partition at the push of a button. Love the size love the ease of installation.
Rating: Summary: Doesn't get much better than this Review: For an IDE drive it preforms great. The boot up time for Win2K was reduced by about half the time (compared to a 5400 rpm drive w/ 9.5 msec seek time). Not many drives are better in preformance than this one (other than SCSIs). If 20.5 GB is enough space I would say get this drive.
Rating: Summary: the need for speed Review: I bought this hard drive replacing a seagate 4.3/5400/ 256k buffer, now with its 7200 speed and 2mb buffer, my system finally flys.
Rating: Summary: the need for speed Review: I installed this device on a Dell Dimension XPS T-600 with no problems (about a 10 minute install). The drive has blazing speed. I highly recommend this product to anyone considering purchasing a second drive.

Rating: Summary: Worked great... for a few months! Review: Speedy (I maintained 16MB/sec writing during video editing) and quiet... and dead!I have a new WD205BARTL via the Western Digital RMA department. My first one failed after 3 months of normal use. OUCH! Fortunately, the "SMART" capabilities detected the failure before the drive was rendered unreadable. I could read all but 10MB of the 15GB of data on the drive to another system, and the old drive is basically now "read-only". I certainly hope this new one lasts for the duration of the 3-year warranty. I'll be backing things up a lot more often, that's for sure.
Rating: Summary: Great Performer Review: This drive gives outstanding performance with its 7200 RPM speed and 2Mb of buffer cache (512kb is very common in other drives). Installation is a snap with included software and 80-pin cable. I partitioned it into two 8-Gig and a 4-Gig partition and copied my old hard drive onto it painlessly. Very Highly recommended!
Rating: Summary: Excellent choice Review: Very large, quiet, fast and easy to install - these are main qualities of this HDD. It's easy to make partitions, but the most impressive feature is installation. Except for the formatting, which takes up some minutes (you really don't expect from your PC to format 20GB in 60 seconds) you will be done in five minutes tops. I also have the old HDD in the box (WD Caviar 4GB) and they perform extremely well. I'm very pleased with both.
