Rating: Summary: Lots o' space Review: I was looking for the biggest external HD I could find to rip my DVD collection onto... this one fit the bill. Without compressing each DVD is 4-8GB, so you can get several dozen onto a single drive. It's nice and fast - at least, fast enough to not be a limiting step in the ripping process and fast enough to play DVDs off with no skips. I haven't tried the OneTouch setting since I'm not using it for backing up my regular files. The drive case itself looks pretty sharp. No problems having it sitting around my other home theater electronics. It's quiet enough when operating that I don't notice the noise at all. One annoyance is that it ships with a FAT32-formatted drive; this has a max file size of 2GB, so you can't put full ISOs on it. This stumped me for a few hours until I discovered this limit, then I reformatted it as NTFS and all was well.
