Summary: This Is NOT A Harddrive!
Review: Just a word of warning. Even though the box says "Hi-Speed External Hard Drive" and boasts "expand your storage capacity" and "more than a hard drive", this is just an ENCLOSURE and contains no hard drive. Almost $100 for a plastic enclosure? You have got to be kidding. This is false and misleading advertising.

Summary: It's good for a HD Enclosure
Review: Unlike the other reviewer, I knew that this was only a hard drive /enclosure/. I purchased this one specifically because it supports Firewire 400 (aka IEEE 1394) and USB 2.0 (aka USB Hi-Speed). I had only one issue (which is likely a defect), I had connected my drive through the Firewire interface but when I later attempted to connect it to the USB interface, the system didn't detect it.

All considered it is a great device that supports 2 of the most popular interfaces and allows me the ability to customize the amount of space I need.
