Summary: Quiet, fast, and runs cool, unlike 7200rpm drives
Review: Samsung hard disks are among the quietest compared to my other Maxtor or Seagate ones.

Plus, since it runs at 5400 rpm, it runs MUCH cooler than 7200 rpm drives, which makes them live longer (in my experience). The 2MB cache memory and good caching algorithm makes these drives perform as fast as 7200 rpm ones!.

In short: Great drives. I hope Amazon.com addds these back to their own inventory soon.
